BLURB:

When manny Daniel Pinkney heads high into the Colorado mountains to start a new job, he wonders if he’s driving right into a horror movie. The house is remote, the place is practically deserted, and his boss is… Intimidating. Stern. An island.

Utterly gorgeous.

Good thing he loves the baby he’s taking care of, even if little Jacks is off the charts on things like growth and development.

Dragon shifter Hayden Sadler thinks he wants a normal human manny to teach his adopted son Jacks how to act like a human. But soon enough he realizes there’s more to Daniel than meets the eye, and that’s okay with him. But they barely have time to get to know each other before danger knocks on their door and forces them to work together to save their newly formed family.

Dragon Manny is an mpreg dragon shifter story in the Dragon Veil universe, but no prior reading is required!

REVIEW:

I simply love when a shifter doesn’t know that they were born a shifter. Or that shifters even exist. And then…BAM!!! You’re a dragon shifter and shifters are indeed very real. It’s one of my most favorite twists and Minerva Howe does it so magnificently!!!

Daniel Pinkney is rethinking his decision to manny at this new job his boss Pat from The Agency sent him on.  It’s super high up the Colorado mountains and this place is HUGE! But the sweet baby Jacks is so wonderful…even though Daniel is pretty sure they have his birthdate wrong on the adoption papers. And even if Jacks’s new Daddy is gorgeous he’s very gruff. Hayden Sadler wanted a human nanny for his beautiful baby boy Jacks he just adopted. Jacks is a dragon shifter like he is but his reasoning is that Jacks needs to emulate the human manny so he can be around humans more easily. But Hayden knows something’s up with Daniel. He’s not all human but he doubts that Daniel is aware of that. Or that shifters even exist.

This was an extremely fast paced book that is the start of a whole new dragon shifter spin-off series. Daniel is a manny that has no idea that he is actually a dragon shifter. He had always been fascinated with dragons, to the point that he has one tattooed on his back, but always thought that they were pure fantasy. I loved how perfect Daniel, Hayden and little Jacks fit together. Mates tend to be that way and it’s obvious that they were mates.

I loved getting to know this family and watch as Daniel as he learned who he was and how to navigate his new reality. And it was a joy to watch him with baby Jacks. But the part I love the most was watching Hayden transition from being the gruff businessman to the loving mate and father.

This book leads us next into watching as Hayden, Daniel, Declan and his team from The Agency prepare to do battle with these murderous and kidnapping fiends. I am wondering if they are the same ones that murdered Jacks parents. And are their other dragon babies in danger also? This is an exciting new series that I can’t wait for more of because this first book was fantastic! Huge thumbs up for this reader!
