What good is freedom if everyone isn’t free?
Hal
Our world is changing for the better. With us alphas now being accepted and couples forming everywhere, the world is at my feet. Yet all I want is one omega in particular: Briar.
He’s fragile, guarded, and won’t let anyone close. And yet, I can feel his heart, and it calls to me. If he’d only let me, I’ll be the arms that hold him steady, the warmth that soothes his fears, and the fire that reminds him he’s alive. I don’t just want him safe—I want him utterly, completely. I want him to be mine.
Briar
I’m not supposed to let anyone close. My secret makes me dangerous…or so I’ve always believed. I try to stay away from people, but I can’t seem to escape him. Hal.
As much as I try to avoid him, he’s always there, patient, tender, and unwavering, and the pull between us is impossible to deny. In his arms, I can finally breathe—and burn—at the same time.
A Hal for My Heart is a tender and steamy MM Omegaverse romance where a protective alpha and a secretive omega discover the thrill of surrendering to trust, comfort, and desire. Expect a heat that will set the pages on fire and a HEA to soothe your soul.
REVIEW:
I have really, Really, REALLY been captivated by these two wonderful and new-to-me authors that have captured my heart and I can’t wait for more!!!
Hal can’t believe his new life. His best friend Gus is now the the Royal Consort and mate to King Sebastian. The lies that have been told about Alpha’s being so dangerous have been discovered, and now Alpha and their omega can live together in harmony. Couples can now be together as it should have been. The old king’s advisors have been removed from their position and forced to leave the kingdom. Two of Seb’s best friends, whose father’s were the bad guys, are now his advisors. But King Sebastian wants Alphas to be advisors also so he chose his mate’s best friend Gus to be an advisor. Hal never saw his life living in a castle among royalty. Having been discarded as an infant in the orphanage, and then being taken in by his found family: Lord Willoughby, Kenneth, and Gus, he never expected this life. Nor did he expect to fall for Gus’s mate best friend Briar. But life has a way of throwing curveballs at you.
There was so much to overcome in this story. Briar’s curse had isolated him so badly and left him starving for companionship and touch. And without an Alpha help for his heats, Briar was destined to die a very painful death soon. I loved that Hal put the sweet omegas needs ahead of his own. He risked his life, if the curse was real, to save Briar. He couldn’t bear to see Briar suffer anymore. And then they became inseparable, which was perfect because both of them had been lonely all their lives.
I won’t give away the ending, but I will say that it was sad but so sweet and so perfect. These two lonely men finally had a life filled with love and caring.
I am really loving this series and can’t wait to get more of it. This universe that was created by these two gifted authors is enchanting and the heroes work hard to take care of those they love at all cost. A huge thumbs up for me! 👍
