This is a great series and this book was extra special.
Tane wants to do the right thing for his alpha son. He knows he failed Malin after his Omega Father died in a flying accident when Malin was only ten. He worked hard to suppress his grief and the boy was spoiled by things instead of time and affection. Tane always knew Malin was much closer to his Omega Father. So he decides that purchasing Malin at Set Omega at a privateauction from a rich wolf king was the perfect thing to get his wild child of 21 to finally settle down. What in the heck was he thinking? And was this plan going to fail epically or is something else going to happen?
Watching the story of Tane and Kirion develop was precious. The more it went on the more of Tane’s protective side emerged, the alpha in him protecting the omega. I love that this was a second chance for the alpha. And that Tane was the one who rescued him and would make sure he was safe and taking care of all of his life. That Tane choosing his omega over his willful son was a choice no father should have to experience but was necessary. Malin was out of control and needed to be set straight. His terrifying actions against Kirion was cruel and he deserved the actions his dad took.
I guess we get Malin’s story next! Author Wendy Rathbone is going to have her job cut out convincing me that I could ever forgive him, let alone like him after what he did to poor, sweet Kirion in this wonderful novel.
