Disclaimer: This is book 3 in the Elf Magic series. So, you will need to read the previous books, if you have not already done so. With this book, we have another wonderful addition to the Hidden Species multiverse. It helps if you have read the previous series in this multiverse, as some characters from these previous series appear in this story.
I just have to say I really loved the world building in this one. I love hockey and anything that features any sort of hockey is my jam. And no this is not some knock off of a certain other series. This isn’t even in the realm of that series. I mean we have Elves and Felid Shifters. Certainly not any Russians or Canadians, LOL.
I am such a fan of Louisa’s character development. She takes such care to create rich, multi-faceted side and main characters. In this story we have Ari and Felix. Ari is Eoin’s second in command of security for Brandt, the Wing leader of the dragons. Brandt is from another part of this multiverse – hence why you really need to have read all these fantastic stories prior to this one. Felix is the hockey player for the Warhammers, the local Community of Species Hockey League team. They have met before and there is definitely some chemistry from the get-go. Even if they won’t admit it. As Felix teaches Ari all there is to know about hockey we get to revisit some old friends from Louisa’s previous series.
Once again Louisa has crafted a brilliant enemies to lovers story, featuring a little bit of everything. We’ve got humor, sexy times, hockey, did I mention sexy times? Our resident elf Ari is going through a second puberty and that’s all I am going to say… insert smoking hot sexy times… Our fearless hockey player, Felix, steps in to “help” Ari with his problem. Will these two be able to overcome their past history? Will Ari ever truly understand hockey? Will Felix survive his second puberty? Not telling!!!! You know the drill – READ the book.
I highly recommend this third book in the Elf Magic Series. Please skate as fast as you can, but don’t high stick anyone on your way to your favorite eBook purchasing site and grab this fantastic addition to this multiverse. You won’t regret it.
