REVIEW:
Disclaimer incoming – This is book three of the Supernatural Suckers series and it’s not critical to read the first two books, but why wouldn’t you. This one focuses on Greg and Dustin. Greg is our anxious reaper, and Dustin is our death defying daredevil.
The world building is once again brilliantly done – at this point I expect nothing less from Silvana. She goes above and beyond to create intriguing worlds with characters that just fit in and don’t seem out of place. I mean who would bat an eye at an entity going through walls or defying death at drop of more than 800 feet.
In this story we get more beautifully crafted main and side characters. Greg, our reaper is trying so hard to do things by the book, I mean who else, but a newly minted reaper would carry around his clipboard and checklist. Dustin by all definitions should be dead by now, he’s a true daredevil that has cheated death a few to many times. Of course, I did have my favorite side character in this story – Noah is a very special one.
I will comment that this one is a bit different than the first two books in this series. While there are some very funny moments in this story, this one felt a little more serious and appropriate for the subject matter. I admit to crying in a couple of sections of this one. It’s the mark of a great writer when they can pull at the heartstring so thoroughly. For those that are curious, we do get some spicy sexy times – I mean Greg is a virgin after all. How many death defying chances will Dustin get? Is something else afoot with Dustin’s death defying acts? Will Greg ever get the reaping right? And who is Noah? Sorry, Darlings, I am so not going to tell you. You need to read the book and find out the answers to all questions and more.
I highly recommend this story and series. Do yourself a favor and run to your favorite eBook purchasing site and grab this newest story from Silvana Falcon, you will not regret it. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.
