REVIEW:
This is a super-short (36-minute) introduction to Finn and Ulysses. Finn is a fireman, and at the beginning of the story, he is off shift when a sleek bike with an “…equally sleek ride…” pulls up next to him. Finn is immediately drawn to this beautiful man with just a glance. He considers it a missed opportunity when the biker gives him a look over his sunglasses and then pulls away. However, a minivan blowing the red light and nearly taking out Ulysses on the bike gives them another chance.
This was my first audio narrated by Michael Dean, and I loved his voice. His voice is clear, and he differentiates between characters. Very appreciated!
This is an intro to a longer book about these two, so it’s sort of a hook-up where Ulysses disappears the next day. I found it sweet that Finn is a poet who writes happy-ending poems. This is like the first chapter of their story, which will continue in Ulysses Ultimatum, and even ends with “Want to know what happens when Finn and Ulysses next meet? Check out Ulysses Ultimatum.”
