Oh what a sweet novella!
First, I’m a huge fan of this Piper Scott’s omegaverse stories. The Aurora, Colorado universe is so much fun.
Miles is a sweet omega who is desperate for some help getting through his heat. He’s shy and definitely not an apps hookup guy. But desperate times call for desperate measures! He goes on Grindr and matches with Jun. He doesn’t let Jun know that he is aware of just exactly who Jun is – a very popular gaming influencer. One that Miles is a big fan of.
Jun can’t believe his luck. He’s on tour and he gets a match with the sweetest, shy and adorable omega. Jun’s chemistry with Miles is FIRE and Jun wants to stay the night but he’s got a plane to catch and meetings to attend back in LA. He really feels a connection to Miles, so he leaves his contact info and asks Miles to reach out to him.
Miles can’t believe that Jun left his number. But he’s too shy and full of anxiety to reach out. He can’t imagine what a guy like Jun would want with him. (Hello! Low self-esteem calling.) So he lets time go by. And by. And by.
Meanwhile Jun is really disappointed that he’s never heard from Miles. In fact he’s so down about it others are noticing. He takes some advice from his assistant which leads to either more or less confusion 😉
Miles on the other hand has realized that Jun left more than his number. Uh-oh! Now he really is in a quandary about contacting Jun. But fate has other plans for these two.
This was absolutely adorable! I loved sweet Miles and protective Jun. The supporting characters were so wonderful too – Miles’s coworkers and Jun’s assistant especially. Their back and forth communications while trying not to reveal too much were just perfect. And of course there is a lovely HEA 🙂 I hope there might be more stories in this world. Fans of the Single Dads series will love this I’m sure. Recommended!
