“You seem a bit nervous there, Alexander.” Amber Jade, prime-time TV host and darling of the gossip columns, grinned at him.
“I-I just hope I have a wonderful partner,” Alexander stammered. “Then we can give the people what they want.”
The audience burst into applause.
“Let’s bring him in,” Amber shouted. “Your fate is in our hands.”
Cheesy theme music blared out. Everyone except Alexander saw who had entered the studio. It had to be someone decent, because a good amount of people cheered. A woman in the front row gave him a thumbs-up. Judging by the skin-tight pink boob tube she had on, they could well have very different tastes.
“Okay, folks,” Amber said to the audience. “Are we ready?”
The audience screamed wildly.
“Slide it back,” Amber shouted, waving her hands at the audience.
They joined in the chant. When the noise reached fever-pitch, the screen retracted. Alexander smoothed his suit jacket and turned to face his future.
Who would be on the other side? Alexander prayed it wouldn’t be one of the cast of the new reality television series, Chip Shop Wars. He had no desire to smell like vinegar and fried food for a week.
Bloody hell, it’s Zac Caton.
Facing one of the most handsome men on television, Alexander’s knees wobbled under him. Zac grinned at Alexander, his pearly white teeth dazzling.
“Zac Caton, meet the Honourable Alexander Fitzwilliam,” Amber Jade shouted.

I have written for as long as I could write. In fact, before, when I would dictate to my auntie. I love to read, and I love to create worlds and characters.
