I was reading a MF series and there was a MM novella in the series. It was my first MM read. From that novella I changed to reading all MM. It was the missing piece I was looking for. I love it!

Iā€™d always been drawn to the idea of men together, but a lot of gay fiction in the ā€˜90s was completely depressing. A friend alerted me to slash fanfiction, but when actual m/m romances emerged, I loved the variety of male characters and routes to their HEAs!

I was reading an MMF series and enjoyed the M/M scenes so I went looking and found Try by Ella Frank and I have been hooked since.

Like many others I came across a MM scene in book I was reading and I was intrigued. I went looking for more and discovered the world of MM romance. Iā€™ve been hooked ever since.

My reading started with m/f romance, progressed to fantasy and paranormal, where I first encounter menage. That kicked off the mm genre and mmm romance, suspense, paranormal and fantasy. I love mm because the depth of the relationships were so much richer than m/f. The roads they travel are more complex. The emotions so much richer. The pain is deeper. The rewards are greater. I cannot thank the authors enough who make my life better.

After I read Try by Ella Frank I wanted to read more MM romance, so I started to follow LGBQT+ review blogs for recommendations.

I also started with m/f, progressed to fantasy and paranormal, then to mfm. Accidentally bought mmf and found that I enjoyed the mm parts better than the ones with the female and I haven’t looked back. That was six years ago.

I started reading novels when I was very very young so I started reading love stories fairly young too. By the time I reached my late 30s – early 40s, I was just so over hetero love stories, it was already so predictable to me. I found a fanfic page due to following a certain tv show with a gay couple and that started everything, then I really got hooked when I read the Cut and Run series by Abigail Roux.

I was first introduced to mm reading The Angel by Tiffany Reisz, I absolutely fell in love with them and wanted more stories like theirs.

I won the book Goodtime Boys by Carol Lynne in a contest. I read it and loved it so I read all of her books I could find and then I found a lot of authors and books that I love.

Always been interested in gay stories, from the time I was a young teen. I also love reading, so the combination is perfect for me.

I started from reading yaoi and one day came across reviews for M/M stories. There was a particular livejournal that would constantly rec stories she was reading. It got me curious and I read a summary/review for one that sounded interesting and decided to give it a try. the rest was history.

I was reading an MF series and there was an MM novella as part of the series. That was my first ā€œofficialā€ MM, but I didnā€™t really start reading a lot after that.

A few months later on the old RT Book Reviews forum one of the members who liked a lot of the same books I did kept recommending an MM book. She RAVED, so I decided to try them. (Back when you could only read them in $15 paperback format lol). So, ā€œRobin in PAā€ changed my reading habits forever. šŸ™‚

I made some friends at Goodreads through several groups. There was one in particular with whom I shared many points of views about the books we had both read. She was reading m/m romance, and recommended me one of her favourites. I decided to give it a chance… That was around eight years ago. The rest is history šŸ˜‰

I used to read MFM and stumbled on a MMF book by Nicole Edwards called Travis …it was freaking HAWTTT and all I wanted was for the F (Kylie) to get out of the boys way! Then Try by Ella Frank came out and I was hooked!

I started reading MM back in like 2011 maybe. I had read a lot of MMF and was curious. The first MM I read was Hot Head by Damon Suede. While I do still read some MF (Black Dagger Brotherhood pretty much exclusively), I mostly read MM.

I was ready M/F romance when the heroine started being TSTL, (Too Stupid To Live), and started leaning to sci-fi romance. Amazon sent me a ‘If you liked…, may we suggest ‘My Fair Captain’ by JL Langley. Wait. What? A Space Captain and a Prince??? Huh??? Bought the book, and never looked back.

Read an M/F title and it had a small plot of an M/M couple and their story was so good I decided to see if I could find any M/M books. This was along while ago and I found Torquere Press and I have loved M/M since then.

I started reading them when I realized I was trans and wanted to be in the book rather than just reading it.

I was reading a lot of smutty manga (het) and somehow I came across yaoi mangas and when those weren’t enough anymore I made the jump to MM books… I haven’t looked back since (it’s been more than 15years!)
