Vincent and Sheriff Romeo are my chance to find peace at last. I’ve been waiting for someone to notice I’m gone for a long time. Until the vampire showed up, I wasn’t sure anyone could help. All I want to do is move on to the next step… and I really need to rest.
Vincent and Romeo, you’re my only hope.
Strange things are happening in Prosper Woods, California. Ever since moving here, my life has turned upside down. Some things have been amazing, like falling head over heels for Vincent Lasco, a gorgeous vampire. Other things have been weirder than I could ever imagine. I’ve learned a truth about myself, and it came as a massive shock. Most of the town residents have quirks of their own. Let’s just say, nothing is boring about this bizarre place.
Supernaturals flourish here!
Sheriff, Romeo Harmon makes me happier than I’ve ever been. He’s kind, funny, and honest to the core, just the kind of man I used to be, centuries ago. I have a new lease on my long life. Things could go on just the way they are but there’s something I’ve been asked do before that happens. I need to help Romeo find a sweet little boy and finally lay him to rest.
Who knew ghosts could have broken hearts?
An ancient rival? A gay unicorn? A crusty old witch who should be in diapers? The dumbest progeny anyone could ever have? Shifters who come in herds? What has my life become but a millennium of crap. My only hope is to get what I came for and do away with my enemies.
I must prevail this time.
REVIEW:
I literally couldn’t turn the pages fast enough when I finally got hold of this book! I needed to know that Vincent, Rome and the others could finally locate Blue’s remains, lay him to rest and free his tiny spirit!
Vincent and Rome are true mates and very protective of each other. Together they are a might force to be reckoned with. Their love and devotion shines strong for all to witness. And they both hold strong moral convictions. It doesn’t matter who or what you are…race, gender, sexual orientation or supernatural identity holds no bearing and makes no difference to them. It is all about honor and integrity. If you are good then they accept you. If you are evil they will do everything in their power to make sure you are stopped and held accountable.
If dear, sweet, innocent Blue’s story doesn’t gut you and leave you wanting to help him then you are no better than Floyd, Rudy and Sheriff Willis! Those men are/were the epitome of pure evil and disgusted me to my core.
Just when you think things can’t get any odder in the town of Prosper Woods it does. I totally get Rome’s confusion and shock. Seriously, a surgeon who is a sturgeon shifter??? Who dreams this stuff up? Only the mind of Patty Logan could dream this stuff up and successfully pull this off while making total sense! Oh, and the twists and turns just keep coming!
And don’t get me started on that entire shocking last chapter! Holy cliffhanger! Those last two pages about made me faint!
I am hoping 🤞that we get more of Greg and Sam’s journey. I know that Greg’s eyes have been opened and I am eager for him to accept that he might be bi-sexual and will embrace his needs and desires. I truly believe this journey will be something he never saw coming. I know that he loves Sam and Greg is everything to Sam. Greg just needed the nudge to open his mind to new and different possibilities.
One thing that perplexes me is how Vincent can feed on Rome daily and he not run out of blood. I know that Rome takes his “special vitamins” daily and Vincent seems to possess vast healing powers but a daily feeding on Rome seems like a lot! But, boy oh boy, does it lead to some explosive sex for the two of them. It must be Rome’s unicorn powers that keeps him so virile.
As I stated, this book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger without the opening chapter of the next book. I am on the edge of my seat for True Prince to come the beginning of September. It’s going to be a doozy for sure. I’m not sure if it’s the last one in this series but I have learned with Ms. Logan to never say never and to expect the unexpected! There is never a dull moment in her books and she keeps me on the edge of my seat one moment then hysterically laughing out loud the next! A must-read book and series that you will definitely need to read in order.
