Henley hurried across the street and got what he needed, sporting a big grin that didn’t leave his face until he knocked on Levar’s door. Levar opened almost immediately, and after one look at Henley, he started laughing. “That’s your idea of a disguise?”

“The Yankees are playing the Red Sox today. I can damn well guarantee you half of New York will be wearing white and blue today, including caps. And since it’s bright and sunny, the sunglasses won’t stand out either.”

Levar slowly shook his head. “You’re killing me here, man. The Yankees? You want me to wear a fucking Yankees shirt? Three generations of Cousins are now rolling around in their graves, let me tell you. We’re Dodgers fans. If my dad saw me, he’d slap me silly.”

Henley grinned. “He’d better not find out, then.”

Levar rolled his eyes, but he accepted the shirt, cap, and sunglasses Henley was holding out. He stepped into his room, and Henley hesitated, then walked in after him and closed the door. Levar gave him a look but pulled his shirt over his head, revealing his toned body. He wasn’t ripped or even muscled but lean, with just the right definition and endless planes of smooth skin, unlike Henley’s own hairy chest and belly. He had his back waxed monthly to make sure it stayed hairless because nope, he drew the line there. But Levar looked like he was naturally smooth. If not for the fact that his ears were just a little floppy, he’d almost be pretty. The overall combination was still more than a little attractive.

“Great job not undressing me with your eyes,” Levar said.

Henley pointed at the shirt he’d taken off. “Pretty sure you did that, not me.”

“You know that’s not what I meant.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Henley winked.

Levar straightened his shirt, then put on the cap. “Right.”

Henley held up his hands. “If you want to talk about—”

“Shut up, asshole.”

“I’ll take that as a no, then.”

“Damn right. Now, let’s go.”

The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self-doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self-help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.
