Monthly Guest Post—Andrew Q. Gordon—Spring Forward

I’m a big fan of Spring. Winter is in the rearview mirror and the misery that is summer is still a ways off. (I hate the heat. Just sayin’). The sense of renewal comes not just from the flowers and new growth. Leaving behind the doldrums of winter usually adds more than a little spring (no pun) to my step. This year perhaps a bit more than most.

UNIQUE TOUR BANNER - Love Bytes - Better Be SureTuesday marked the release Better Be Sure. The first contemporary MM Romance novel under my Andy Gallo pen name. Click the links to see my guest post and the review of the book from Love Bytes. In a sense this is me planting new seeds in the field. This isn’t really the first mm romance I’ve written, but it is the first novel I’ve published. Like the anticipation of what will come from the seeds you sow, I’m watching with cautious hope how it’s received.

This year also has a sense of renewal as well. It’s been two years since Child of Night and Day, Book Four in the Champion of the Gods series. Due to a bunch of boring things that would glaze your eyes over, the fifth and final book, When Heroes Fallwas delayed for almost a year. I suspect a few readers forgot there is another book, forgot me, or just forgot period. Anticipation doesn’t always make it better. Sometimes it means you snoozed and losed (not a word, but work with me here, okay?).CotG-Facebook-2

But this spring, after lying fallow for a year, the Champion of the Gods field has been planted and on May 14th, heroes willfall. Book Five, When Heroes Fallgets its chance to wrap up a bunch of loose ends in the story. Oh… and we finally get to see how it all ends. Yeah, that too.

It will be hard to top this spring, especially since it’s the last of the Champion of the Gods seeds left. But to all things a beginning and an end. One thing begins and another one ends. A perfect circle of spring life.

Until Next Month

Enjoy the journey!

I haven’t forgotten When Heroes Fall (although the title makes me nervous about the fate of our heroes). Looking forward to reading Better Be Sure as well.

I don’t mind winter so much though here we don’t get snow, just a lot of rain and wind to bring the temperatures down, but I’m with you in hating the heat. I’m still hoping for autumn here. We got a few hopeful days then it got hot again 🙁

      Hey Anne,

Winter without snow sounds wonderful, where do I sign up to move. 🙂 Although hot isn’t my friend either, so hmm, maybe not.
