REVIEW:

Good Lord, these two authors together create absolute MAGIC!! I adored book #1 and I absolutely adored this one as well. I love how the author has created these 2 big alpha males who have such a tender emotional side as well. One thing that stood out in book one was how much these two cared for each other and that has not changed in this book. If anything the love they share has only grown stronger.

Us, takes place shortly after book 1. Wes and Jamie are happily cohabitating in their apartment in Toronto. Wes is having an amazing rookie year in the NHL and Jamie is loving his job coaching youth hockey. While there are some bumps in the road as they build their lives together they successfully navigate them and remain on course. Until life throws them a curve ball they weren’t expecting. Compiling the fact that they are still closeted at work this new development leaves them adrift with no bearing.

This story was angsty and wonderful. At times it hurt so well but one thing that never wavered was the feelings these two exude towards each other. Even at their absolute worst you could feel their adoration.

We also get to meet probably one of the best side characters I’ve ever read, Wes’s teammate Blake. Blake essentially kicks the door down and demands to be seen and heard. He’s overbearing and wonderful. Looks like their might be a book coming about him as well. He’s amazing. Loved him to pieces.

Overall, great story with a FANTASTIC ending. I’m sure it’s not easy coming out with a sequel to a book that did so unbelievably well but book 2 did not disappoint in the least. Highly recommend this whole series!!
