BLURB:
Just when they thought the nightmares couldn’t get worse, they realized they weren’t sleeping.
Barry and Tag hoped that even with Barry’s Dreams still keeping them on the hunt for murderous criminals, they might find some peace in their new home together. The rest of the Team has their backs and they all have their assigned roles—whether they like it or not—so it should be easy.
With Tag away on business and newest Team member, Jason, emotionally shattered after his break up with long-time lover Daniel, they soon find that if the wicked don’t rest, neither do those tasked with bringing them to justice. When the Dreams start to go on the fritz and Jason seeks out the company of a vicious and sinister Dom named Karrick, it seems all hell is about to break loose.
It will be up to the Team to sort out friend from foe on their own. The veterans of The Dreaming are forced to follow and their untried partners are thrust into the lead. They will have to learn how to get along, and how to use their talents without otherworldly help if they hope to stay alive long enough to figure out what’s going on.
REVIEW:
Barry and Tag had a hectic life but it looked like they were finally going to catch a break. Barry still had his dreams but their team had fallen into sync. Jason was the new guy, he had the talent and the gift. Jason felt he had something to prove and sometimes it seemed to cloud his choices.
I love the characters in this book. They have an amazing range. Just when you think, you have the bad guys figured out the juxtaposition hits you and you realize that nothing is as it seems. The supernatural elements with the dreamers, demons and the shifters provide a roller coaster ride that is heart stopping and keeps you on the edge of your seat to the very end.
Barry has his horrific dreams but he is not the only one having them. The dreams threaten to unravel his life and his sanity. Jason, the new guy on the team it is overwhelmed to say the least. It also does not do much to help him recover from his breakup when Daniel his ex is following him.
Karrick is a cruel and vicious Dom and has a mesmerizing effect on Jason, which affects the whole team and threatens to destroy everyone. I love the dynamic between Tag and Barry. I like to see how they evolve and how their relationship changes. I like the realism, the drama and tension is realistic, the action is breathtaking, the horror is blood curdling and the sex is like a 4 alarm fire. Putting all these elements together into one book makes me wonder why it did not come with a warning label!
