Sliding in, but it’s still the 18th! Shew!

Good Morning!

It’s time for another blog post and honestly, I’m sitting here with my coffee, staring at the screen and my mind is blank.

Okay, wait. I need help with something. Anyone who reads this, please take a second to answer these questions in the comments. I’m going to the RT Readers and Writers Roundup and I need some questions answered for a survey.

  • As a MM reader, do you read MF too?
  • Are you Male or Female?
  • Do you prefer Gay For You or Traditional gay fiction (I’m not sure what to call it – my words aren’t coming easy this morning. By traditional I mean, everyone knows they’re gay, some might not be out yet, but they know they are gay.)
  • How many MM books do you purchase a year – on average
  • Where do you find your information on new releases?

Thank you for taking the time to do this. It means so much!

Have a good week,

Kindle

Not MF romance, but I do sometimes read general fiction/nonfiction.

Are you Male or Female? Female

I enjoy both, but preference is to what you are calling “traditional.”

Oh boy…I don’t really know…maybe around 200 per year. I also read books from the online library. 🙂

Where do you find your information on new releases? Goodreads, blogs, Amazon, ARe, author newsletters, publisher newsletters, Twitter

    Hope that is helpful.

    1) Not m/f in the past few years. Mostly it’s been m/m and a fantasy or sci-fi book here and there.
    2) Female.
    3) Both.
    4) I have no idea. Are we’re talking free accumulation of ebooks (giveaways, smashword, ARe and Amazon)? or just what I bought with my own money? (5000+ with free accumulation, anywhere from 50-150+ with my own cash). If we’re talking paperbacks then it varies anywhere from 0-25 yearly.
    5) Blog tours, review blogs, giveaways/contest, author sites, and very rarely on goodreads.

As a MM reader, do you read MF too? There are a few series that I plan on finishing as books are released but I haven’t read any “new” m/f books in about a year.

I also try free books when I find a new to me author. That way I can see if I like their writing before I spend my book money. I have only been reading M/M for a couple of years so there are a lot of new to me authors!

    – I read both genres although lately I read more mm.
    – I am female.
    – If I get it right… I read both.
    – No idea. I purchase a lot, 95% mm. Plus the free reads and free-for-some-time books.
    – Amazon, author pages, blogs, publisher houses.

As a MM reader, do you read MF too?
Yes. I have a huge (200+ actual, paper books) TBR pile of primarily paranormal M-F that used to be my favorites until I discovered MM a couple of years ago. One of these days I’ll get through at least some of that pile (I really need to find out how some of those series end!) It would be easier if you (and others) would take a break from writing more MM books I want to read:)

Love both, but have a big soft spot for GFY stories since that’s what I started with

More than I’ll ever admit to my husband – about 350/yr the last couple of years. I really wish you hadn’t asked that, because I really didn’t think it was that many until I just added them up. I might have a problem…
