1.     So tell us about the Outlaw MC of Mars. How did you come up with the concept of the MC as the good guys fighting for people’s freedom from the government?

The MC Romance genre went huge with the success of Sons of Anarchy. I loved watching the show but I wanted to write something different. You can find dozens of biker books out there so for my twist I changed their roles. The government was oppressive and the bikers were the good guys. I figured why not make their world on another planet? How about crazy cool technology…hover bikes! (Yes, I’m still waiting for hover cars here on earth, lol.)

2.     How many installments will there be in the Outlaw MC series? And rumor has it you might be done with all of them already, is that true, and if so do you have a release schedule you can share with our readers?

Last week I received the acceptance for the last book in the Outlaw MC Series from my fantastic publisher, Evernight. There are 8 books in this series.

3.     What is your next big project? Are you already at work on another book, and if so can you share any hints with our readers?

I just started a new book. This one is going to take place in space! Shocking, I know. Lol. It has to do with four sexy men, deep in space and…cooking. It’s going to be a gay, romantic, action, comedy. Ya’ll know I can never just pick one genre. Lol. I actually came up with a title months ago and when I finished the Outlaw MC series I knew I had to write a book with this crazy title. It took about five minutes for a plot to enter my head and then characters and well, I’m 6k words in.

4.     What would you like our readers to know about James Cox, the man, the author?

Growing up, I hid my sexuality. When I came out as Gay, my parents kicked me out of the house. Since then I’ve been shocked by the outpouring of acceptance and encouragement from readers. It truly made me feel like maybe there’s hope that the future won’t be so bleak. As I’ve grown, I discovered I’m actually bi-sexual. I had to figure out the hard way that parent’s don’t always love. Life isn’t always kind. I think that’s why I write happy endings. I want that for everyone. So, what should readers know about me…I’m a romantic guy that curses too much and hates wearing pants. I love writing stories that have an unusual twist so it’s nothing like you’ve read before. I want to entertain you with sexy men and happy endings. Yeah, that’s me. I’m not that complicated *S*

5.     Your “groupies” always jump in to vote for you when you’re in one of our Book of the Week polls, how do you interact with your large fan base?

Facebook is the place I’m most active. I love chatting on there, sharing sexy pictures, and talking about my non-existent sex life. I’m on Goodreads occasionally as well. If you’re ever looking to friend me, please feel free. I love getting emails and posts about how much readers enjoy my books. It seriously MAKES MY DAY! I have the best readers out there. They’re so supportive and kind and did I mention sexy? *W*

6.     Finally, is it true you only write with your pants off? Inquiring minds really want to know! wink emoticon

Honestly, hell yes. Anytime I can take off my pants off and write without being cited for public nudity is awesome. I think better that way. My…muse just kind of flows. It helps to grip my junk in the middle of a hot sex scene too. I’ve gotten pretty decent at typing with one hand. Lol.
