The red hearts with the bites is such a cute idea and so apt for the site. It’s very easy for a reader to understand the rating, and to remember that it’s from the Love Bytes site.

I kind of give sites a gentle ribbing (in my head) about all the different ways they do 5 stars but without using stars. That said, I think your little hearts are adorable and are totally within your brand. So, very nice!

Huh, how to say it … Actually I totally don’t care whether you use hearts, stars, apples or whatever. That’s not supposed to sound mean or anything, but it’s just me saying that I’d love your reviews even if you’d use apples 😛

This looks great. It goes well with your name.
The authors put there heart in the writing and we readers are touched in our hearts when reading so it’s only natural that the rating system should be in hearts.

Hearts with a little “nimble” is so in keeping with the blog name, so it’s great and makes it more personal to both author and reader. Have you considered, increasing your heart rating? Everyone I can think of, has a maximum rating of 5*. There are great books and then there’s exceptional books! It would be nice if we could go beyond the genetic 5*. Just askin…

It is a very good visual stimulus and will the ratings have more bites out of the hearts depending on the rating, or is it just the number hearts per rating?

Strangely enough it makes me a little bit sad to see a byte out of the heart, just like a broken heart, but I am soppy that way, maybe you could have big green apples instead, with bytes out of them of course with a lipstick mark heart shaped?

Hearts definitely pop more, especially with a little love bite on the bottom and stars is what everyone else uses so this is more interesting.
