I’d like to start by saying this is the sweetest book about escorts I’ve ever read!
Jensen and Daniel are two men who have lost who they are and can’t find their way back.
They are both sad and lonely and the natural attraction between them is instant and very understandable. Jensen find someone who listens to what he says and finds the things that annoy other people fascinating. Daniel finds someone who doesn’t just seem him through is screwup and failures. Someone who believes that Daniel can do more and be more if that’s what he really wants.
There is nothing but love and support between them and also around them in the friends and family who adore them. Daniel’s friends are sarcastic and funny and they adore him more than he even realizes at first.
These characters as so relatable these days. The world is scary place and it’s to easy lose yourself to the doubt and the fear. And I love how neither men can seem to break out their shells for themselves but are more than willing to do it for each other. I enjoyed watching them grow and figure out how to bring their lives together.
This story was so sweet but it did have it’s steamier moments and I very much appreciated them. This author knows how to put a sex scene together and I enjoyed watching Jensen transform from the unsure man who struggles with day-to-day life into the smoking hot lover who knows exactly what he wants and how to take care of his partner.
Also, I adored Jensen’s parents and his relationship with them. Reminded me of my relationship with my own queer child.
I highly recommend this book. It’s fun and sweet and just a little angsty. I sighed a lot reading and smiled even more.
I will be looking for more stories by this author.
