REVIEW:

Note:  These stories are part of a longer series and it’s recommended that the whole series be read before diving into these.

I am so happy that Greg Ashe published these short stories all together.  Tean and Jem have really been through so much.  It’s so nice to see them getting their actual HEA (well, hopefully).  These stories are so good.  This series is frankly pretty dark, but these stories show a lighter side of their lives which gives me hope that they will have more happy days ahead 🙂

Moving Day is an exploration of moving on – to a new house, new relationship status, new time of life.  Thankfully I haven’t moved in over 22 years and the last time I moved, I used movers.  But this is a real story of what it’s like trying to set up a new home.  There are some poignant moments leaving the old space, but the neighbor stuff was HILARIOUS.  Jem is a hoot!

Career Day is another good time.  Poor Tean is trying to help Jem after he left his sales job.  The results are quite mixed and I was howling at Jem “networking” and Tean trying so hard to just disappear.  Yet another very funny episode for these two

Personal Day might be the absolutely most hilarious story in this bunch.  Turns out that Jem’s career affinities might be a bit unconventional – kind of like his skillset.  Tean to the rescue had me rolling – especially with the rationalizations that Jem kept throwing out there.

Finally Wedding Day is funny, sweet, romantic and just oh so lovely!  I’m so glad the author gave this little diamond of a story to us.  These guys deserve all the good things coming to them.  Jem’s family were hilarious.  The wedding itself?  So beautiful and heartfelt.  The friends?  Perfect.  The grooms had a day they could remember and look back on fondly.  *chef’s kiss*

This collection is highly recommended and a well-deserved reward for Jem and Tean and all the fans of this series.  Bravo!
