Yard Sale is the third and final book of the Legends and Fury trilogy, a spin-off of Punk as Puck. It’s a rivals to lovers romance featuring a tired, injured D-man with a crappy family who is failing to cope at life, a reluctant reporter with a thing for lace and silk who is doing his best to figure out who he is and what he wants, sandcastles, walks on the beach, making unique use of panties, the joys of too many aunties coming to visit, and a steamy, swoony happily ever after.

Disclaimer: This is the third and sadly final book in this spinoff series. Which means, you should read the first two books in this series, as previous characters are mentioned and appear throughout the book. Of course, this was my favorite book of the series. I just loved Tiago and Aravind. There are some content warnings for this story, so please be cognizant of those before reading this one.
Once more EM has done a wonderful job with worldbuilding. With this book we experience more of life after the hockey season, than during the season. Which by no means detracted from the story. I loved the remote setting for this one. Washington State is beautiful and EM really brought it to life.
As I’ve come to expect from EM, the character development is top notch. In this one we get Tiago and Aravind. Tiago has RP (Retinitis pigmentosa), which is a genetic eye disorder where you progressively lose your sight and plays on the d-line of his hockey team. I’ve known someone with this disease, and I felt their portrayal was spot on. Aravind is a sports reporter and has written some not so flattering things about Tiago. This is a true enemy to lovers trope, and it was done spectacularly. But EM does not skimp on the side characters either. With all of their characters we get finely tuned details and wonderful depth to each one. This one also contains my favorite thing – found family. I really had some seething moments with some of Tiago’s family members. Some of them really need to be smacked upside the head. But then we have Aravind’s family who are the complete opposite of Tiago’s and embracing him wholeheartedly. Which made me feel that much closer to all of these characters.
I’ve really come to love this series so much and I am really going to miss these characters. I am so invested in these men, it’s just crazy, which for me is a sign of wonderfully constructed story. Through all the trials and tribulations, we get a story that brings to light that everyone deserves and needs love. As I mentioned earlier this one is a bit lighter on the hockey aspect, but that wasn’t what made me love this story so much. It was all the ups and downs of their relationship that truly made me not want to put this story down. Oh, there are some sexy times as well… who knew you could use a private room on a ferry. Will Tiago be able to play hockey again? Will Aravind find his true calling? Will the Aunties block the boys sexy times? Will Tiago and Aravind find their happy ever after? Well, my darlings, as usual, I am not going to divulge any secrets or plot points. You know what to do – READ the book.
I highly recommend this story from E.M. Lindsey. So much so, you need to run right out and grab a copy from your favorite eBook purchasing site.
