BLURB:

He says he’s ours, but it doesn’t feel like it when we’re forced to hide…

Our relationship with Richard–the CEO of Nightwork Records–claims he’s in love with us.

Claims that he wants to be with us freely, but it can’t happen.

I tried having patience. Tried being understanding. But I don’t like being forced to hide in the shadows. I’m not a fan of constantly second guessing my every move and making sure I don’t do something to alert the media and the fans that me, Spike, and Richard are seeing each other.

So, I’m putting myself first–my feelings and my heart. I’m not allowing him to hurt me anymore, no matter how unintentional he may be about it. I’m done playing these games with him.

But when we come home from our latest tour, it’s clear Richard isn’t giving up on us.

Because he’s standing in our living room, outing our relationship to our friends, and he’s not letting me make the decision to walk away.

REVIEW:

Third and, sadly, last book of the Razor Monkees, a series that follows the lives of the six members of the band who have irrevocably fallen in love with each other. In the first book we have Salem and Tor, then Dalton and Jesse and now it’s Spike and Kalin’s turn to have their happily ever after.

Kalin and Spike have been each other’s everything their whole lives, since they got close in foster care and went through terrible things, always being one another’s support and safe place.

They never hid their relationship, but they never flaunt it either, they’re just private and love to live in their bubble.

When Richard, the powerful owner of a famous lebel, discovers the Razor Monkees, the lives of the three men become intertwined and they start a romantic relationship.

More than one year later, though, they’re still hiding and all the secrecy has taken a toll on Kalin’s mental health.

In fact, while Spike is more understanding and so very patient with Richard’s worries about coming out as a throuple, Kalin needs more reassurance, he needs to feel like the man he loves is putting him first. Behind what it could appear as a bratty and whining attitude, there’s a whole world of hurt and pain from the past that is very difficult to get rid of.

Kalin still thinks he’s not good enough for his men and that Richard will realise, sooner or later, that he’s not worth the hassle. Moreover, the months of separation due to the band tour don’t help at all with Kalin spiraling.

What prevented me from giving a higher rate:

I would have loved to see how the three of them fell in love and decided to take a chance on each other, instead of jumping into them, already together.

I love how Richard always took care of his lovers, how he doted on them and, once being out as a throuple, how he didn’t let anyone or anything else between them.

I loved the epilogue too and I’m a little sad this series ended.
