REVIEW:
Disclaimer Note: It should be noted that these are all bonus stories that fall in between each of the five books in the Dead Serious series. These are not standalone short stories, so please read the main books first and then grab this one and enjoy some fabulous extra scenes from our favorite characters.
These brilliant short stories build on the world already created in each of the Dead Serious books. Not only build on the worlds but enhances them with glimpses into our favorite Spirit Guide’s view of the world to Death and Harrison’s world view.
If you’re thinking that character development can’t be obtained in a few chapters, I beg to differ. I found more depths to these characters after reading each story. I mean Dusty herself is even more fabulous as she makes her way through the new Upstairs world. Danny becomes even more special as he gets a glimpse into Tristan’s world and who doesn’t want to see two ghosts spend a special day together. Of Course we can not leave out our grumpy witch, Harrison is a sweet grumpy treat unto himself.
Each of these sweet short stories gives us a glimpse into details that wouldn’t have fit into the initial books. But enable us to savor these beautifully constructed short stories, that enhance each book and character in the Dead Serious series. How does Dusty handle the adjustment to living in Heaven? Is Danny more accepting of Tristan’s gifts? Does Tristan get his own version of Scrooge? What does Danny think of Death? Is Bruce nervous to introduce Dusty to his family? Will Harrison embrace meeting Sam during the potential apocalypse brewing? Well, Darlings, I think you know I am not going to give the secrets away on this one.
I highly recommend this group of short stories from the Dead Serious series. Do yourself a favor and run to pick up your copy of this short story bundle. You won’t regret it.
Till next time…
