It’s been six months since Noah escaped hell. Therapy helped him find his footing again, and for the first time in a long time, he’s starting to believe he’s safe. Until the man who bought him—the one he never met, but never stopped fearing—tracks him down to claim what he thinks he owns. Desperate and terrified, Noah turns to the only people who ever made him feel safe: the men of Three Bears Tactical.
Crowe usually runs the training camp, not protection details. But when Noah walks back into their world, shaken but determined to fight, Crowe can’t stand on the sidelines. He’ll keep Noah close—closer than he should—and protect him with everything he’s got. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is to tell where the job ends and something deeper begins. Because protecting Noah isn’t just duty anymore. It’s personal.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s the third instalment in the Three Bears Tactical series. I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t remember the characters because it feels like quite a while since the last book. However, as soon as I started reading, I remembered exactly who Noah was and everything he had been through. I was instantly transported back to that basement in book two and to his first steps towards freedom at the end.
It was lovely to see how far he had come and heartbreaking when it all came crashing down again. What would he do without the Three Bears, and especially Crowe?
Crowe runs the training camp for the company and is taking a well‑deserved break in his cabin when he gets a call from Wolfe, asking him to help Noah. Noah’s name has started appearing on the dark web again. The man who bought him last time refuses to let go; he wants what he paid for and is prepared to do whatever it takes to reclaim what he sees as his property.
The Three Bears are never going to let that happen especially not to someone they consider one of their own. Noah has to return to the safety of their apartments at headquarters, and at least his friends Julius and Mika are still there to support him.
One of the things I love about this series is how we continue to follow the lives of all the characters. We see Hawk and Gator, Axel and Maddox, and of course Wolfe and Caden. I adore how these men interact and how fiercely they protect one another.
This is a well‑written, exciting story, and the characters we’ve met before are developed even further. Jacki’s writing always keeps me enthralled, and I read this in just two sittings.
I cannot wait to see what happens with Wolfe in the next book and I’m really hoping it’s with Caden.
