Prince Shey is missing.
Erya royal guard Adrian Westergren is “forced” to team up with amorous but annoying dragon Haru to find the lost prince as a favor to the queen of Caspagir.
Adrian was confident Prince Shey had gone off to pout while his ex-boyfriend Rayne got married.
What he found was a twisted conspiracy deep in the heart of Damardor, in which innocent people were being stolen off the streets and disappeared permanently.
There’s a good chance they’ve kidnapped Prince Shey too, along with something much more dangerous.
Nightmares are about to be unleashed that the world has not experienced in centuries.
Adrian and Haru are in a race against time to save Shey, while Adrian fights to protect his heart from a dragon he wants more than anything in the world.
Broken Prince of Ice is the first book in the Forgotten Gods trilogy. This spin-off from the Godstone Saga will include hidden royalty, gods, magic, secrets, danger, angst, forbidden romance, slow-burn romance, friend to lovers, two romantic couples, and a furious fight to keep the world from burning.
REVIEW:
I am so happy that we finally have a spin off from the Godstone Saga because that series was epic and so beautiful although I went through a rollercoaster of feelings while reading those books. The new series is called the Forgotten Gods and the first book is Broken Prince of Ice.
In this first book, we will meet (again) Adrian Westergren, an Erya royal guard, and Haru Omari, King Caelan’s cousin from the Isle of Stone. They were sent to Damardor to find Prince Shey after the Queen lost contact with her son. It just so happened that they lost him while Rayne, Prince Shey’s ex-boyfriend, got married to Eno.
What Adrian and Haru thought was just a sort of a “tantrum” of the Prince turned into something sinister when they found out that a lot of people have been taken off the streets of Damardor to never be found again. And it seemed like Prince Shey is one of those people. Adrian and Haru have to race against time to find the Prince because they have been hearing rumors that a lot of people indeed have been disappearing for reasons they don’t know yet.
When Adrian and Haru found out that all of those people who disappeared are somewhat “magical” the more the urgency they move because Prince Shey does possess a little magic that came from his connection to the God of Storms, Kaes. They traveled to a small city outside the capital of Damardor but when they arrived, the place was already in chaos. By this point, Haru has assumed the identity of a rich businessman who is willing to invest in a “new” venture with the rich group of individuals from Damardor provided he gets to see the actual operation. That was the reason they were in the town of Milway and found the chaos in the site where everything was burning and all their prisoners escaped. The next day, Adrian and Haru proceeded to look for Prince Shey and Tyche, the God of Luck.
Book One sets the tone for the remaining two books in the series, where we are reintroduced to Adrian, Haru and Prince Shey. We have two pairs of love stories in these series, that of Prince Shey and Tyche and Haru and Adrian, and I am in for the adventures these two pairs will go through in order to reach their HEAs. Congratulations Ms. Jocelynn Drake and thank you for bringing this world back again. Broken Prince of Ice is an amazing read and I literally cannot wait for the rest of the books.
