Losing my entire family in one night because of rogue vampires, meant I had nothing left to lose. My entire life’s purpose was now to avenge the family I’d lost when I was nothing but a child. I was prepared for a life without love, friendship, and family. Mostly because I wouldn’t survive losing it again. So, when the alpha of the town my new assignment was in, declares that I’m his fated mate but that he doesn’t want me, I don’t take it to heart, even if his rejection stung. Thankfully, I had enough to deal with and I soon found myself busy killing off the rogue vampires who kept showing up at night and storming towards the town’s library. The alpha was hiding something in there they desperately wanted, but he refused to tell me, the ass that he was. Suddenly, the situation turns dire and my boss declares that we need outside help, in the form of vampires. Did I mention I fucking hate vampires? They might not be rogue ones, but still. When the vampire Salizar turns up and is all composed and competent, I slowly begin to lower my walls.
I shouldn’t have.
Never trust a vampire. You’ll only end up bitten and claimed without your consent. Oh, and the alpha did not like that I, his rejected lump of meat, was claimed by someone else. I soon found myself claimed by both men, again without my consent.
Forced Bonds is an MMM Paranormal Romance with a possessive vampire, a lonely human, and an alpha werewolf who longs to submit. Expect hurt x comfort, a reluctant way to love, acceptance, devotion, knotting, biting, half-shifted fun, and all the passion. HEA guaranteed.
REVIEW:
This is an interesting triad with a humam who has a vendetta against rogue vampires and has become the best rogue vamp hunter in his quest to protect those from suffering the same fate as he. Then, there is Christopher, the not-a-shifter werewolf alpha who calls for hunter help with a pack of rogue vamp attacks, rounded out with Salizar, the not-a-rogue vampire who helps them with the same problem.
Christopher realizes right away that Benji is his fated mate but has no interest in a human, let alone a male who can’t provide an heir. So, he rejects Benji, leaving him open to Salizar who takes the opportunity to make Benji his mate. As the jealousy swirls around, Christopher ends up mating them both, but bottom line is that Benji is the last one who has any semblence of a say in the matter.
But, this aside, they have this rogue vamp issue to deal with and the story gets pretty involved with Christopher and his pack, but it actually involves all vamps and humans as well. Oh, and there are witches involved as well.
I enjoyed watching the bond grow as this story progressed and as they tackled the hurdles together. They had to navigate feeling the emotions of the others which sometimes helped and sometimes hindered their relationship. I found this story interesting and engaging. It kept my interest and left me wishing there was more coming ahead.
