Eric Baldwin is so ready to marry the woman of his dreams. Everything is perfect, and the big day is almost here.

Then he gets a text from the last person he thought he’d hear from—the man with whom he and his fiancée shared a scorching hot night a year ago.

Turns out… that’s not the only night the guy has spent with Eric’s fiancée.

Jesse Patterson’s girlfriend swore her fiancé dumped her after the night they all spent together. When he realizes she lied, he’s crushed… and he feels guilty for being the other man. He can’t let the wedding go on without telling the groom the truth.

Now Eric’s devastated, and his world is on its head. Jesse offers his spare bedroom until Eric gets on his feet… and Eric offers to bring Jesse along on his “honeymoon.” A cancelled wedding is no reason to let a perfectly good vacation go to waste!

They can enjoy the downtime, lick their wounds… and definitely not think about rebounds or hookups. After all, it’s way too soon to think about dating again.

And definitely too soon to be falling for his ex’s former sidepiece.

Jilted is a standalone MM bisexual romance. There is no depicted cheating, just the aftermath of the main characters being cheated on.

REVIEW:

Eric is about to be married – two weeks to go.  His fiancee, Selina, is stressed about the wedding.  Just she’s about to go off on her bachelorette weekend, Eric is contacted by the guy he and Selina spent a hot threesome with the year before.

Jesse is bisexual and he was up for a hot night with a couple.  He had a great time.  Eric had arranged the night to fulfill his fiancee’s fantasy.  But then she contacted Jesse later and told him that she and Eric had broken up BECAUSE of the night they spent together and Eric couldn’t handle it.   Eric didn’t want to believe Jesse’s story, but Jesse came with receipts.  Jesse never wanted to be the “other man” but he found one of Selina’s social media accounts and realized that he’d been lied to all along and that she was marrying Eric imminently.  He felt terrible but he didn’t feel like it was fair for Eric to go into a marriage with a woman who had been cheating on him and lying for a year.

Eric is stunned at Jesse’s revelation.  He can’t believe he’s been played like this.  So while Selina is gone on her girls weekend, he packs up his stuff and moves into Jesse’s spare room.  Jesse is eaten up with guilt and Selina and Eric are renting a house. Eric hasn’t had time to look for accommodation and he’s got to get out.  Jesse feels like the least he can do is offer a landing spot for Eric who has been blindsided.

Eric also spends the weekend cancelling the wedding – venue, vendors, etc.  He tells his family.  When he talks to Selina’s family and friends, they ask right away if she cheated.  Uh-oh.  Would have been a good heads up to have known about her tendencies beforehand.

When Eric confronts Selina, she tries to deny.  Then when she sees Jesse there, she goes into attack and manipulation mode.  Both men are shocked that they had ben taken in by this woman.  When they drive off together, she is furious!

The weekend of the wedding, Eric is going to visiting what would have been his FIL’s cabin in Maine.  He asks Jesse if he’d like to come along.  It’s isolated.  There are lakes and moose and horseback riding and hiking.  Both men are still reeling and could use time to relax.

Once Jesse and Eric are alone, they realize how much they have in common.  They are both very  unhappy at having been used by Selina. She made both of them feel bad in different ways.  They are very attracted to each other, but clearly both messes and on the rebound.  But what if this is the something good that can come out of this situation?

I really enjoyed this story!  It’s quite low angst for this author, despite the cheating and the confrontations therein.  What kind of a bad person do you have to be for your father to lend his cabin to the guy who called off your wedding?  Honestly I loved that blowback on Selina.  Who definitely deserved it and seemed to have ZERO remorse about anything.  I was so happy to see Eric and Jesse find their way to each other.  They were so good together!

Michael Ferraiuolo and Greg Boudreaux do a great job preforming this story.  I love two voice for the two POVs.  These two experienced professionals prove here while they are fan favorites.  Another stellar performance of a wonderful romance and two guys finding their HEA.  Highly recommended.
