BLURB:
Rebel: The biggest drawback to fame? The sudden swarms of random people recognizing me and losing their minds in the process. I used to fly under the radar. Now I’ve got to get extra creative when I want to slip away for extra-curricular activities. Sometimes I’m successful, most times not. Either way, the lectures are starting to suck, especially when they’re accompanied by Steel’s piercing looks of disapproval.
Kit: There’s no way this is real. Last year, when I subbed for Blissfully Immune’s iconic drummer, Ozious, I figured it was a one and done deal. Only now they need a permanent relief drummer, and guess who got the nod to go out on the road with them? Oh my Goddess, pinch me! I can’t believe I’ve just been handed my dream. I just wish I knew with a hundred percent certainty that Rebel was cool with me being back after the explosive moment we shared.
Steel: One quiet and reserved drummer, the other a damned menace of a guitarist I don’t dare take my eyes off when I’m not on duty, because he’s always looking for some mess to jump into. The only saving grace is that I’ve not been assigned to guard either of them. Damn if they aren’t slowly causing my shriveled heart to start throwing off sparks of desire. But how to keep those possibilities from imploding before we can nurture them into a roaring flame?
REVIEW:
If you read Jagger’s story in Damaged Saints. And then his best friend Johnny’s story in Echoes of a Muted Song. Then you will definitely be wanting this newest book in that story line. Rebel’s Warriors picks up where Muted left of. We get lead guitarist Rebel’s polyamorous story and it will grab hold of you and not let go!!!
Rebel McAuliffe never realized that with the fame and success of their band, Blissfully Immune, that his freedom would become severely compromised. The ability to go out alone and pick up someone that suited his personal and very private needs would simply not be happening. His bestie Johnny lucked out with Draven now being their manager and his daddy all rolled into one delicious package. But can you imagine going into a Leather Daddies Club with your personal guard tagging along and watching your BDSM scene? Nope, no way!!! So escaping, spiraling or becoming even more of a sulking brat was what he was doomed for. When one of the guards from Damage Control Inc, who are the security force guarding Blissfully Immune and Damaged Saints, finds Rebel in the hotel bar, Brekken Steel is not amused! But agreeing to come back to the safety of Rebel’s room, for more TV hockey and what comes next, were a very pleasant and much needed surprise. But can Rebel keep Steel interested? And when Steel’s job comes first and things fall apart for Rebel. And then their newest band member of the band, drummer Kit Michalson, attracts Rebel’s radar again, can Steel fix this mess and handle both these younger rockstars together with him?
Wow! What a ride! I knew that Rebel (let’s face it…with a name like Rebel you expect fireworks) was going to be a handful. I know a lot of rockstars shoot for the gold but can’t always handle it when they get it. Yes, they have the fame and money, but their personal lives and freedoms get trampled on with that success. Personal freedom is the first price that is paid. And when you have personal desires that aren’t always mainstream, that can lead to some sticky situations. Johnny’s was easily satisfied when he and Draven committed to each other. They were both firmly into the scene and it eased into their lives. Unfortunately Rebel didn’t have that. He needed a Daddy Dom to help control the life that was spiraling around them. And Steel was the perfect fit. That is after Steel finally figured it out! Especially after that little chat Johnny had with him poolside! I loved that Kit came into the mix. The three of them worked perfectly. Rebel’s needs were met all the time. And Kit got to not only have Rebel, that he had desired since that secret stollen kiss last year when he subbed for Ozzy, but the added bonus of Steel taking charge of both of them in a relationship perfectly suited for all their needs! Phew! Was that smoking hot! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I am now eagerly awaiting Ozzy’s story! Him having to give up the thing he loved, most due to his debilitating disease, was heartbreaking. The band will truly be missing their brother. So I hope he gets everything possible to fill his life with the happiness he deserves. And we get to see his band brothers often too! Because he is still needed!!!
