Two young, virile dragon mates? This unicorn shaman did knot see that coming!

Sage Weldman loves Shifters Sanctuary. He loves living with his brothers and being a part of a pack, especially one where everyone is treated as equal, rather than placed in an antiquated hierarchy based on their secondary designation. As an omega, that’s important to him.

According to the silver fox (well, unicorn, actually) shaman, Sergio, that balance is important to Magic itself, too.

But Sage wants the life his older brother has. He wants a mate. He wants babies of his own. And he’s also kind of maybe (just maybe) a little bit in love with his best friend, Dexter.

But Dexter is an omega like him, and they have history. So pining is as far as it goes. Until it’s not…and Sergio comes along for the ride.

After a series of unexpected events, Sergio, Dexter and Sage find themselves questioning Magic and Fate. But what does this mean for Sage’s dreams of settling down and starting a family, when Dexter has made his feelings on fatherhood clear for hundreds of years, and Sergio considers himself past his prime?

Of course, Fate and Magic might just make the decision for them.

His Dragon Duo is a sweet and steamy Omegaverse MMM Mpreg romance featuring dragons, unicorns, an eclectic pack, found family vibes and so much melodrama that it might as well be a soap opera.

REVIEW:

Such a lovely story, I’m glad I had the opportunity to read it.

Before going into my review, I have to say that I read only the second book of this series and that there are a lot of characters’ stories that I missed. But despite that, the author is great at connecting all the previous events, so I could still follow the development of the story.

Sage and Dexter, both dragon shifters and omegas, have been best friends for centuries. They had a fallout at some point, because Sage confessed his love for Dex but he completely rejected him, stating that a relationship between two omegas would have been unnatural and unfulfilling.

As a result, Dex’s inner dragon retreated and he’s been miserable since then, even then they have started mending things.

Sergio is a unicorn shifter, a shaman and a beta. He helped Brandt and Eric to set the Unlocking Parties, where new alphas are supposed to be revealed.

When Dex unexpectedly goes into heat, both Sage and Sergio are there to help him. But during their intimacy, Sergio’s alpha is unlocked and the three of them establish a strong connection.

I really liked how the alpha’s unlocking happened, how they were all connected to make that happen. In the same way, I loved how the pregnancy was a result of all of them, not just of the alpha and one omega. It was like all of them conceived the child.

What prevented me from giving a higher rate:

I had trouble connecting with Sergio at some point: I get that he believed to be a beta for centuries so he didn’t act like an experienced alpha, but, at the same time, it should have been unbearable to him to left his omegas, even if they weren’t bonded yet. That pull towards them came from his inner alpha who, experienced or not, was still very demanding and impossible to ignore.

I liked the banter between the three brothers, the strong friendships inside the pack and also the feeling of being all part of the same family, even if there are different species among them.

I look forward to reading Eric’s story, since he seems very determined to avoid finding his own mate. I hope his book will be released soon.
