Razor
Power didn’t make me softer.
It made me dangerous.

More territory. More money. More eyes waiting for me to fail. I learnt fast that survival meant control—emotional distance, locked doors, no attachments.

Then Tristan Hale-Fitzroy came back.

Rich. Beautiful. Irresistible. Still looking at me as if I was something he wanted, not something he should fear. I knew exactly what he’d cost me last time. I wanted him anyway.

This wasn’t a fling anymore.

It was obsession.

We crossed lines I couldn’t uncross—dirty nights blurring into need, desire cutting deeper every time I touched him. I broke my own rules for him.

And in my world, weaknesses don’t go unnoticed.

Tristan
I rebuilt myself on ambition and restraint.
Pupillage. Prestige. A future I’d fought to earn.

Razor Slade was meant to be a mistake I’d survived.

A dangerous man I’d left behind.
But some loves don’t fade. They wait.

He was darker now. More powerful. More possessive. Everything I shouldn’t want, yet the only thing making me feel alive. I told myself I could handle it this time. That I could keep my heart separate from the fire.

I was wrong.

Because desire isn’t safe.

And loving a man like Razor doesn’t just consume you—it corrupts you.

This wasn’t a second chance.
It was a surrender.

Corrupt is Book Two in the Pretty Poison Trilogy—a dark MM romance packed with obsession, forbidden desire, second-chance heat, power imbalance, rich/poor tension, morally grey men, and dangerous devotion.

REVIEW:

Tristan and Razor are magnets, inexorably drawn to each other. This book starts 8 months after the first and has to be read in order. While book one was a raging fire of speed action attraction this one is a roiling boil of emotions and layers of story peeling away, unknown intentions and hidden agendas colliding with soft hearts still holding a modicum of humanity and good.

Here we see more of vulnerability behind Razor, we see glimpses of Richie and CF White is exceptional at squeezing your heart with just a few words in the midst of the action and chemistry and criminal lies unfolding!

Razor has made a powerful enemy, he is still under Cormac’s thumb and his allies are very few and far between

In this book, it’s starker the differences between them and the theme of doomed star crossed lovers is even more apparent – like tragedy is waiting around the corner

this is a gritty, morally grey ride full of dark ambitions and high octane life and death games that our protagonists are caught up, while they, despite all precaution fall in love.

All lines are blurred, perfect is a pipe dream and love is something that won’t be denied. If morally grey, obsessive love is what you are looking for, read this series.
