BLURB:

Two killers. One mission. Zero mercy.

They were never meant to trust each other.
Let alone want each other.

Viper lives by control—command, discipline, rules that keep the world from burning down around him.

Titus is chaos sharpened into a weapon—lethal, unpredictable, and allergic to authority.

When their paths collide, it isn’t subtle.
It’s friction. It’s defiance. It’s a collision of power where neither man is willing to bend.
Every glance is a challenge.
Every fight is a test.
And every step closer blurs the line between hatred and hunger.

Forced into proximity and bound by a mission that doesn’t care what they want, Viper and Titus discover that the most dangerous enemy isn’t the threat closing in around them—it’s the pull they can’t outrun.

Because when desire ignites between two men who refuse to yield, mercy becomes the one thing neither of them can afford.
Or live without.

** Mercy is an enemies-to-lovers action romance and the third book in the Genesis Savage Warriors series. While this story stands on its own, the emotional depth and character arcs are best experienced by reading the series in order.

REVIEW:

Book 3 of the series Genesis – Savage Warriors from Ms. Reese Knightley. I didn’t expect to fall in love hard with this book but I am. I am in love with  both MCs who are equal in every way, they are both strong, charismatic and both are Protectors. They are surprisingly from families who have names to protect and privileged but they left that behind in order to protect and serve. To save people who are being sold and abused by monsters.

Viper and Titus are equal in every way. They are both Commanders, they both exude authority that make men follow them. They are both smart and strong. When they first met, sparks already flew but they both attribute it to animosity because of the situation their teams were both in. They thought they were on opposing sides but when it became clear that they were fighting the same enemy, they started working together. They started getting to know each other.

When Titus disappeared and wouldn’t reply to Viper’s messages, Viper really had no choice but to look for him and that was when the rest of their truth came out, they used to run in the same circles in high society. They are from prominent families. So when Titus returned to his former persona in order to execute an operation that he and the YA group were assigned, it wasn’t very hard. All he had to do was revert back to a former life of luxury wherein his mere presence make people talk and assume.

When Viper entered the picture, knowing that Titus was in an operation, the situation became a little complicated although it was easily solved by Titus declaring that they were engaged. That gave Viper the right to hold Titus whenever he wanted when they were in public. In private, they started acknowledging the attraction (and desire) between them. And finally being together. And that everything between them was real and not part of the operation.

Although it was hard for them to realize that once again monsters are everywhere, predominantly in their circle, they had to find a way to stop it and being known for their names and status made the operation a little bit easier because they are in the proper position to work things from the inside. And so they did.

Once again Ms. Reese Knightley created characters that are endearing and so strong and attractive because although they are privileged, they are also very human in their desire to rid of the monsters who are preying on the innocents and abusing elders. I love Viper and Titus so much. They are perfect for each other.

Congratulations Ms. Reese Knightley! I cannot wait for Law and Sage’s story!
