BLURB:
He is the harbinger of death. I am a savior of lives.
Together, we’re a paradox that should never work.

The only unpredictability I allow in my structured life is my work as a trauma surgeon.
That comes to a halt when a young, feral goth biker decides I am his.
The gifts he sends me are downright creepy.
But the scars his tattoos fail to hide make me want to protect him from the world.
When a security threat forces the hospital into lockdown, Bloom’s feral nature takes over.
He doesn’t care how many die as long as I make it out alive.
Only then do I understand how unhinged he truly is.
But when he whispers, “It’s November,” my protective instincts kicks in.
He’s mine, scars, chaos, and all.
Bloom is the third book in the Smoky Vale Alliance series. This is part 1 of what will be 2
books for Bloom. While it can be read as a stand-alone, it is recommended to read Crowe’s
Creed from The Grimm Tales of Smoky Vale and Bay, book 1 in this series. This book
contains content that may not be suitable for all including PTSD from childhood
endangerment and gross neglect.

REVIEW:

I have waited patiently for Bloom’s story. I knew it would be something hard to
encounter because it was obvious that the young man that Crowe and the others
watched over so closely had a past that wasn’t going to be easy. What I expected
and what really caused his idiosyncrasies and bizarre reactions were way beyond
even I comprehended. No one should ever have been treated so badly.

Never have I encountered a book with such lack of compassion for another human
being. Especially when that tiny human child is your own flesh and blood. And
that you literally referred to him as Mutt/a dog! The level of detachment and
disregard for a human being, that was so graphically described in the prologue of
when his brothers (Crowe, Saint, Sarge, Bay and also Winter) discovered the
malnourished child, that was more wild animal than human, that would fight for a
scrap of food with dogs. Them rescuing him from a lifetime of hell and making
him theirs was the only thing that saved Bloom. He was their little brother and no
one got near him. But , when Crowe, Saint and Bay found their “one” what was
left for Bloom. Yes, with years of intense counseling and constant vigilance,
Bloom grew into the MC enforcer that no one wanted to deal with. He appears to
have no conscience but deep down inside him is a sweet boy that was never
allowed to live and be adored. He is so touch starved and his need of praise is
overwhelming.

This book was hard to voice all the emotions that ran through me. I know I should
be outraged and appalled at Bloom’s total disregard for human life. But he does
protect those that are his totally and completely. And how can you blame a person
that was literally created in an environment where human life is so disposable or
sold to the highest bidder. And he is trying hard even though it pains him to not do
what comes naturally when presented with a situation. Like not killing the man that
wanted to date his man! And not if’s, and’s or but’s about it…Dr. Logan Collier is
Bloom’s! And Bloom will literally stop at nothing to protect the man he finally
realizes he truly loves.

I can’t wait for part 2 to drop. I know that Logan’s story is going to be more than I
imagine also but I need for Logan and Bloom to get their very hard earned HEA.
I’ll be on pins and needles until then!
