Rax
Fifteen years to life is a long time to be sentenced to prison, even if I do deserve it. As the Enforcer of my MC, I had to do some things that would give most people nightmares. I’m prepared to do my time, waiting for my lawyer to appeal my sentence. But when an opportunity presents itself to escape, I take it. I’m on my way back to my clubhouse in Tennessee when I get stuck in a small Missouri town. I have to kidnap the small town mechanic to aid in my escape, ignoring the unfamiliar cravings I feel towards him.
Finn
After finishing my weekly food run, I’m approached by a hot-as-sin guy in the parking lot with a broken down truck. I help him out and think he’s on his way until he shoves a gun into my back. Turns out that hot guy is an escaped convict and all he wants is my cooperation as a hostage. To live, I’ll have to trust him and do everything I can to save my life… including using my body.
The Convict is an age gap, bi-awakening, motorcycle club, kinky book. It contains dark themes, murder, violence, heat and, most of all, a hard-fought HEA. It is book one in the Devil’s Mayhem MC series.
*This book contains sharing after MCs are in a relationship*
REVIEW:
Rax is the enforcer of the Devil’s Mayhem MC, caught in the act and sent to prison.
But… he took the chance to escape when the opportunity was given.
Finn is at the wrong place at the wrong time, he’s kidnapped by Rax and forced to drive him.
At first sight, Finn was attracted to Rax, but now he was scared to death.
With help from his motorcycle club Rax and Finn are hiding in a secluded area, close proximity all the time. Secured to the bed, Rax made it impossible for Finn to escape. Finn tries to convince him he won’t try, he can be trusted. Why should he, the man isn’t bad and he’s f*cking beautiful.
They get closer, Rax has never been with a guy, but for the time being, while he has to stay low, Finn will do. He just has to trust him. In a few weeks, then it will be all over.
Finn is happy to be with Rax just for the next two weeks.
Lines between fantasy and reality are getting blurred.
Yes, it has Stockholm Syndrome written all over it, or maybe not. This read had twists and turns I didn’t expect, I loved that so much!
Besides that the story has a great plot, It’s also super hot.
While Rax is rough and tough, a murderer and not afraid to kill again, he’s also soft.
Overall a strongly written story, hugely entertaining, gritty, dark, and emotional, with morally gray characters and actions, it started right away strong and got only better.
