The Age of Man has passed, and a new age is upon the Earth. An age of magic and technology ruled by the supernatural beings that once hid amongst humanity has begun.
Talos – Vampyr King, Supernatural Council Member, and Despiser of Humans. Fate has a surprise up their sleeve for him.
Bayne – Raised by the human resistance, Would-be Assassin, and Despiser of Supernatural Beings. He’s ready to sacrifice himself to kill his enemy.
Bayne is thrust into a world he thinks he knows but quickly discovers his whole life has been built on lies. Talos, perfectly happy ruling his corner of the world, is faced with an unexpected and unwelcome change that comes with the mate chosen by Fate. Together they must discover how to live and, in the end, love one another. But will Fate have more in store for them than just learning to love the species they hate?
Bloodlines of Fate is a new urban fantasy series set in a world destroyed by humans and resurrected by supernatural beings. Fate has many plans for the vampires, fae, unicorns, therianthropes, and humans of this new world. While their mates may be fated, learning to love isn’t that easy.
This book contains depictions of gladiatorial combat, snarky fem twinks who will cut you, kings in stilettos, and awkward heats with a pinch of daddy kink.
Bayne’s POV
There hadn’t been much for Bayne to settle into his suite. It wasn’t as big as Talos’ had been—that was to be expected—but it was just as extravagant. He tried taking a nap, but he was too full of energy. He hadn’t ever felt this good physically that he could remember. He was constantly training with THRUST. He was always either sleep-deprived, starving, or injured in some minor, or sometimes major, way. Being here was surreal, and he wasn’t sure what to do with himself.
He made his way to the balcony. He was on a different section of the T-shaped building, so the view was different, but not any less spectacular. He could see the main entrance to the casino that took up part of the building. Unlike the other casinos in the city, it only catered to the high rollers. The main strip started with Talos’ building and now that it was dark, all the holographic ads were out. He wondered how anyone drove in all that visual noise or what it was like to walk down the street.
A soft knock on the glass drew him out of his thoughts. Bayne straightened as he turned around.
“Hi. I’m Kikoi.” The petite vampire smiled enthusiastically and held out his hand.
Bayne remembered him from bits of memory when he’d been sick. He took his hand. It was surprisingly soft. A protective urge welled inside him even though he knew the vampire could kill him instantly. Kikoi seemed delicate in his posture and demeanor. But it was juxtaposed by the intricate scars that were visible through the pink flowing shirt that hung off his shoulder. The skintight white pants drew his eye to the light pink open toe heels that showed off his white-painted toes.
“It’s nice to meet you.” Bayne met the sparkling blue eyes and Kikoi stepped closer, placing a hand on his chest. Even in the heels, Kikoi barely came to Bayne’s chin and that was only due to his hair. He was a little smaller than Talos but Talos came with an air of authority that made him seem bigger than he was. Whereas Bayne wanted to protect Kikoi from the cruelty of the world. That thought was ridiculous. Kikoi was a bloodsucking vampire after all.
“You are lucky, Mr. Bayne. Daddy told me to be on my best behavior.” Kikoi petted Bayne’s chest. Desire danced across his skin where Kikoi touched him as his fingers trailed down Bayne’s abs. Kikoi’s voice was soft and his accent was new to Bayne, making his words sound more appealing.
Panic made Bayne grip Kikoi by the arms and push him back. “I don’t think Talos would appreciate you touching his mate that way.”
Kikoi giggled and with a flick of his dreads, he turned and sashayed inside. “Come, we have shopping to do, Mr. Bayne.”
Bayne jerked toward the door to catch up. “Just Bayne.”
Suddenly the small hard body of Kikoi was pressed completely against Bayne, and Kikoi had his arms wrapped around his neck, bringing him down. “Soon, I’ll be calling you Daddy while you and Daddy impale me with your thick, hard cocks.” Kikoi emphasized the CK each time and then Bayne’s arms were empty, but his pants were full. He should feel jealous over that scenario, but he oddly only felt lust and a sense of rightness to it. Was that just because Talos’ blood coursed through him? Bayne had a feeling he was in for a long night.
