Series Finale
With all of his mates assembled, Sawyer Smith should be ready for his own version of the end game. He must defeat the god of air and restore both of their broken magics to all of the realms. There’s only one problem: he still doesn’t know how to do it.
HIs brother is a god and is raising the forces of darkness against Sawyer and his mates more quickly than he can mount a defense. It’s time to fight, but Sawyer has too much to lose to risk disaster. As the final pieces of the puzzle fall into place, Sawyer is faced with a task that seems impossible. He must go into battle without the knowledge or power to win.
So many of his questions remain unanswered, but Sawyer knows one thing: He will stop at nothing to keep his mates safe.
REVIEW:
I thoroughly enjoy everything I read from Ms. Blake. This current book, Stop at Nothing, was far from an exception. I’ve enjoyed the books in this series, and the offshoot series that are tied to this one as well. I was sad at first to see that this was a Series Finale, but with Ms. Blake, nothing is usually as it seems. The current series is over, but she left the door wide open, and I mean wide open for further tales in this universe.
Let’s talk about this book. There were a lot of pros, and to be honest, there was one con for me personally. I’ll start with the one con. Sawyer has so many mates at this point that I couldn’t keep track of who was who and I had to keep struggling to remember which was which. Not a major con, but maybe a list of characters and descriptions would have been good in the front of the book.
That con aside, I thoroughly enjoyed this series and was happy that the final showdown between Sawyer and his mates and Sawyer’s evil brother were finally drawing to a climax. The story built as it went along and there were some definite surprises along the way, especially at the conclusion of the book. I was very happy with the end of the book and hints I found there, as will be you if you’re a fan of this author. I’m looking forward to what comes next from Ms. Blake.
I highly recommend this one. Make sure you read books one through four first though, because it wouldn’t make any sense without them. It would also help to read her other books as well, since they all tie together and a lot of characters come together in this one.
