Ta da! Check out the gorgeous new cover art for Better Than Beginnings. Reese Dante has done it again! I’m so thrilled to release this collection of short stories. This is a first for me and I suppose it’s fitting that Matt and Aaron are the stars! For those who aren’t familiar with my earlier novels, Matt and Aaron are the main characters from my first novel, Better Than Good. I wrote their story in the days after my eldest son came out to his dad and me as a sort of love letter to him. Matt’s journey to self-realization and acceptance haven’t necessarily mirrored my son’s, but the message of unconditional love, hope, and pride is stronger than ever.
I’m beyond grateful that Better Than Good has resonated with so many readers since it was first released in July 2013. I had a hard time letting go of them myself, so I wrote this compilation of shorts and shared them in weekly installments on my blog. Some were little everyday snippets, others included holiday, Pride, and birthday celebrations. And yes…a wedding. *sigh… I couldn’t resist. And let’s be honest, we all know so much more happens after the first “I love you”.
This light to no-angst collection of feel-good stories is dedicated to the readers who fell in love with Matty and Aaron and encouraged me to share their HEA with the world. Thank you for love, support, and readership. For those meeting these boys for the first time…thanks for taking a chance on them. I hope you enjoy their path to true love.
