SERIES: Tales from Triple M Ranch #5
AUTHOR: Kelex
PUBLISHER: Twisted E-Publishing, LLC
LENGTH: 75 Pages
BLURB:
Shot in the chest, Mack Maitland is left for dead on his ranch, the Triple M. When his hands finally find him, he’s nearly knocking on the Pearly Gates. Luckily for him, Dr. Timothy McArthur has a selfish need to see Mack survive.
Tim has always felt a rush of desire every time he laid eyes on the handsome widower. Mack is straight as an arrow, and Tim had always thought himself the same, so the doctor pushes the need he feels down deep. Being one of only five doctors in a small ranching community keeps him too busy to think about having a love life.
When Mack mutters something in his post-op drugged state, it floors Tim. And makes him realize that maybe there’s a chance.
A chance that scares the hell out of him.
REVIEW:
With Bronc Buster, Kelex brings us to the end of the Tales from Triple M Ranch series. It has been quite the ride with her gay cowboys, her “pony” ride male prostitutes, and the cast of many who have flowed through the books.
But there was one man on the Triple M Ranch who never got much coverage. Mack Maitland has been a widower for about ten years, since his wife died of cancer at age 34. Mack has never been attracted to a man, but Dr. Timothy McArthur isn’t just any man. There are only two huge problems…Mack is straight…and so is Timothy!
When Mack is shot and left for dead, Tim does everything he can to save him, including spending so much time in the ICU with him that the nurses begin to give him knowing looks. Tim tells Mack some things while Mack is in a coma. Who better to talk to than someone who is in a coma and won’t remember it, right?
When Mack awakens and remembers exactly what the good doctor told him, both men scramble to deny their thoughts and feelings! What will happen next?
I think I liked this the best of the five books in the series. It has far less sex than most of Kelex’s books and it is more of a blossoming love story. I recommend you give this book, and this series, a shot. I don’t think you will be sorry!
