Rj’s assistant talking… ;)

Hi, this is not RJ, but RJ’s assistant, Janet, standing in for RJ while she takes Amsterdam by storm. I’m not jealous at all. Not at all. *mutters*

Sadly as I’m too large to fit in RJ’s suitcase I couldn’t sneak away without her knowing. So I thought I’d talk about being an author’s assistant (don’t panic, RJ, your secrets are safe with me. As it took me three attempts to write ‘secrets’, it occurs to me people are going to feel sorry for you).

I’m still really new to this job, but I know the genre, and a lot of the people in it, so I have an advantage. At the moment I’m getting to know people – bloggers/reviewers/readers – as a member of RJ’s team, and learning how she manages ‘RJ Scott’. RJ is a prolific writer and plans way in advance. I’m going to have to run to keep up with her.

It’s odd being on this side of the team. Yes, some of you do know me elsewhere. Managing a project is different from being in a project. Over the years I’ve taken part in many blog hops but I’ve only organised a few. RJ has a lot on the go. You can that see that from her blog. I leapt in with both feet to help RJ coordinate the Autism Awareness Project. Thank you to all the authors who took part.

The one thing we are so lucky to have is that the bloggers and reviewers in our genre are amazing. They give their time and energy to promoting the genre and the authors, and they’re so friendly to deal with. Thanks guys. I really appreciated your welcome.

I’m still only learning the job, and RJ is settling me in gently. I hope as I get more experienced I can take more work off her hands. In the meantime I get to talk about the books I love and learn from the best.

Max and the Prince 400x600

Max and The Prince – Bodyguards Inc, book 3

Book 1 – Bodyguard To A Sex God

Book 2 – The Ex Factor

Bodyguard Max Connery is used to being mistaken for being younger than he is.

Being carded every time he buys a beer is usual. Even though he’s just turned twenty eight and has two tours in Afghanistan as a pilot under his belt.

When a threat is made on the life of a prince attending University in the UK, Max is the perfect choice to blend in with students and to keep Prince Lucien safe. Even if it means joining the swim team to be by his side.

But, when death visits the University, abruptly this job is a long way past keeping the prince happy and safe. Instead Max has to keep Lucien alive.

About RJ

RJ Scott has been writing since age six, when she was made to stay in at lunchtime for an infraction involving cookies. She was told to write a story and two sides of paper about a trapped princess later, a lover of writing was born.

As an avid reader herself, she can be found reading anything from thrillers to sci-fi to horror. However, her first real true love will always be the world of romance where she takes cowboys, bodyguards, firemen and billionaires (to name a few) and writes dramatic and romantic stories of love and passion between these men.

With over seventy titles to her name and counting, she is the author of the award winning book, The Christmas Throwaway. She is also known for the Texas series charting the lives of Riley and Jack, and the Sanctuary series following the work of the Sanctuary Foundation and the people it protects.

Her goal is to write stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and most importantly, that hint of a happily ever after.

Hi Janet!! I’m a proofreader! I’m the one that makes sure mistakes aren’t in the final product. I am NOT an editor, that’s Erika’s job. I don’t want her job, it’s too hard 🙂 Welcome to the looney bin. I’m Stacia.
