REVIEW:
As I have stated many times, I am a HUGE fan of multi-author series. And even more of a fan if they are a continuing series of multiple years. I love coming back and seeing the characters that have come to life for us and hear how they are doing plus meeting their new friends and family.
Kai is a social media influencer out of Hawaii that has made his way to the West Coast and is helping out fashion designer Ezra Strum with his social media presence Ezra Strum Designs. It turns out that Ezra is in the little town of Foggy Basin, in the foothills of Northern California, that he broke down in months ago. Now he’s back and hopes to run into the hunky Farmer that helped him out before. Hayes has always known he was at least bisexual. But being a roadside stand farmer in a small town has made him leery to explore that side of himself. But when a beautiful Hawaiian social media influencer comes back to town all bets are off.
I loved that I was reading about a boy from Hawaii, who is making his way on the West Coast. There was so many parts of the story that touched parts of my life. Moving from Oregon to Hawaii was the exact opposite that Kai did, but we both understood that there were differences in the new places we chose to stay. I loved that Kai took his influencer job so seriously and was constantly looking for something new and inventive to post about. Yes, Ezra‘s page was important and he kept it going well. But there’s only so much to do for Ezra and he was looking for anything that might keep him in Foggy Basin longer. And Hayes was definitely on board with that idea. These two just made such a wonderful couple that complimented each other wonderfully. I love that Hayes embraced that Kai was a social media influencer and encouraged his different ideas. They really did blend well together together complement each other’s desires. And Kai really got into the small farm life. It was such a sweet and wonderful coupling.
I understand now that the introduction to this couple came in the Foggy Basin Pride season in the book Stand By Your Pride earlier this year. I think that I should have read that short 33 page book first. But I got the gist of what happened in that story. I look forward to more stories in this wonderful universe. But what I truly love about this/these series and universe is that all of the authors seem to work together so that their characters keep blending into all the other books. It really is like coming home. A wonderful introduction to a fantastic new-to-me author that I look forward to more books from.
