Raylen
I’ve spent ten years competing all over Everend, trying to prove I’m worthy of the name I chose for myself. But no matter how far I travel, every road keeps leading back to Moonscliffe. Back to him. Sylar. The brilliant, grumpy scholar who has captured my heart and doesn’t even know it.
When I convince my sister and her meddling best friend to bring Sylar to the marriage market, things fall into place better than I expected. Now, we’re sharing a cozy little cottage, one large bed, and bantering over ancient lore. Sylar can deny our heated chemistry all he wants. He thinks he’s a lonely elf meant for a silent library, but I’ve spent a decade cataloging the perfect stargazing spots just for him.
He’s spent his life tracking the heavens, but I’m ready to show this handsome elf that everything he’s been searching for is right here in front of him. I’m done wandering. I’m finally ready to show Sylar he’s the only one for me.

REVIEW:
You know how sometimes you just need a bit of sweet paranormal to escape life? Something with very little angst and it gives you the all warm, fuzzy feelings you need? How their sweet HEA just makes you sigh and smile? This book did that for me. There was just enough of family drama and a bit of “does he like me” to make this book the perfect book for me last night. 💝
Raylen has traveled all of Everend for the last ten years. He is well know as the legendary Archer of Moonscliffe, a master of his sport and competitions. But he is done. He wishes to retire and knows whom that he wants to spend the rest of his years with. So he enlists his sister Isolde, along with her best friend since they were children Talia. Talia is the sister of my classmate Sylar, who has had my heart for many years but the shy and studious elf was all about the celestial skies and the the myths of all of Everend concerning the various constellations. But can I get and hold his attention long enough to see that we are meant for one another?
This truly was a sweet, fun read that I needed more than I realized. Yes both of the characters suffered from anxiety attacks and I am very familiar with that claustrophobic feeling that overcomes you and you can’t hardly breathe. But thankfully Raylen recognized the first symptoms and whisked Sylar quickly to safety. Because they can be terrifying and having someone with you that can help you come back is a Godsend!!
I loved how the families helped facilitate Sylar and Raylen get time together to open Sylar’s eyes and heart like Raylen’s were. They were the perfect mates to each other. They just needed age, wisdom and distance/time to figure out exactly who was their true mate.
This was a fun, quick read that I treasured 💝
