BLURB:

I’ve been the most dangerous man in every room I’ve walked into for twenty years.

Then I met Finlay Gallagher.

The Italians left him chained to a radiator in a warehouse on the east side of Columbus — half-starved, hours from death, and worth more to them dead than alive. Twenty-two years old with clever hands, a smart mouth, and a talent for leatherwork men were willing to kill for.

I should have put a bullet in him.

Instead, I brought him home.

Now he sleeps down the hall in cuffs he picks every damn night. He eats at my table. Wears my shirts like he belongs there. Touches me like he already knows the worst parts of me.

The worst part is he does.

I’m forty years old. Three decades in the vory. Two prison stretches. I’ve killed men for less than what that boy does to me with a look.

The Italians want him back.

They want his hands. His mouth. His talent.

They want the one thing in this world I’ve decided is mine.

They can come and fucking try.

DRESSED TO KILL is a dual POV dark MM mafia romance with an 18-year age gap, bi awakening, and a morally black Russian mafia enforcer obsessed with his Scottish captive. No third act breakup. HEA guaranteed.

REVIEW:

Having not seen the Wayward Heirs title, it took me a little while to realize this was a spinoff of the Wayward Sons series. That series was great. A bit dark and violent with interesting characters that make up this crazy family. In that series, the father of the main character here, Aleksi, plays a role as one of the partners in the family parents.

In this story, Aleksi, the second in command to the leader of the Russian mob. On a job, he comes across Fin, chained up and not in good shape after the Italians left town. Wanting info on the Italians, Aleksi takes Fin as his prisoner to get that info.

This is one of my favorite books so far. Fin is a Scottish leatherworker. Learned his skills from his da who was killed by the Italians before taking Fin and forcing him to do their bidding. The leatherworking aspect was very interesting and unique. I loved this part of the story and how it fit in to Fin’s story and also Aleksi’s.

Fin was also a great character on his own. He’s a mouthy lad and just the right guy to spark Aleksi’s sexuality. Really, Aleksi didn’t stand a chance of not falling for him.

This story moves along nicely and gets us from point A to point B and sets up the next book at point C. We get to see a few characters mentioned from the Sons series, as they are sort of lightly intertwined. Needless to say, I am excited to see this series play out and have already added the next book to my list.
