I plan happily-ever-afters, but I don’t believe in them…

That doesn’t stop the Matchmaking Mamas from trying to find me a dream man. When they corner me at a wedding I’m working, I’m too busy to fight their meddling ways. I agree to one match so they’ll back off. One date and I’ll put the matchmaking nonsense behind me for good.

Then I meet Brysen. As if he stepped out of a movie, he sweeps me off my feet in a magical night. He’s gorgeous, sweet, romantic–and so very sexy. Despite my reservations, I agree to a second date and start to wonder if maybe I could have more with the right guy.

Then he shows up to a wedding consult the next day.

With his bride.

I’m horrified to be taken in so easily. How could I have doubted, for even a second, that love wasn’t for me? I was the guy who got jilted at the altar five years ago. I didn’t believe in fairytale endings.

This was a wake-up call. I was fine just as I was, single and fun. Who needed love, anyway?

Only… now I’m getting texts and calls telling me that Brysen has a twin.

An identical twin.

But if Brysen’s not the groom, is he really the amazing guy he seemed to be when we met? For better or worse, it seems I’m about to find out. I’m just not sure if I want to know.

If I’m going to risk my heart again, this man has some serious sweet-talking to do.

REVIEW:

Silas has been burned and burned bad.  He’s given up on men after being humiliated and devastated by being left at the altar in front of his family in friends back in California.  He moved to Granville to his Aunt’s to lick his wounds and start over since a wedding planner left at the altar is no exactly in demand 🙁  He’s now about fun, not relationships.

While at a wedding, Silas gets buttonholed by his Aunt Lula and her matchmaking grannies sidekick Iola.  In order to get out of an extended conversation and get back to work, he finally agrees to one date.  He figures it’ll be one and done.  But he doesn’t count on Bryson.

Bryson is new in town.  He’s opening a new business in town with his brother, so he’s been too busy to meet many people.  He has agreed to the Matchmaking Grannies wishes as well 😉  They agree to a date and Bryson is excited.  He plans a super romantic date and he and Silas have a fantastic time.  And great sex.

Come Monday morning, Silas is in a great mood.   That is until the first meeting of the day starts and the groom is the man he was on a date with and his bride!   He’s using a different name and pretending he doesn’t understand.  He’s furious and devastated because he REALLY like Bryson and even agreed to a second date.  He quits as wedding planner while the groom splutters he has no idea what Silas is talking about.

Bryson and Branson meet up and Branson tells him what happened. Uh-oh.  I guess Bryson forgot to tell his date that he was an identical twin.  He tries to explain but Silas won’t answer.  Instead Silas leaves work and drowns his sorrows with his friends.  But Bryson isn’t giving up.  And the pictures of the twins are pretty convincing 😉  Turns out that Silas liked Bryson and little too much and let his very steep walls down just enough for Bryson to sneak over them.

Branson and his bride still have a wedding to plan and Silas is back on the job.  They try to help Bryson get Silas to give him another chance, but Silas is keeping strong.  If Bryson wants to get Silas back, he’s going to have to be a lot more persistent 😉

Oh, it’s been a while since I’ve read a good twin mix-up story 🙂  I loved Bryson and Branson.  Silas is determined to not be made a fool again.  Despite having a great time with Bryson and knowing that he could be so much more, he’s determined to protect his heart.  Bryson knows that he and Silas have a spark.  The chemistry is off the charts and he’s determined to try to get another chance with Silas.  He’s down in the dumps after Silas freezes him out.  But Silas maybe isn’t quite as “frozen” as he tries to portray.  It takes a bit for Silas to open his eyes and see what’s in front of him and risk his heart again.  Loved these two.  The supportive friends from the previous books provide Silas with wise counsel 😉  This is another wonderful book in this series.  Highly recommended for fans of sweet, swoony, sexy romances with a guaranteed HEA.
