Love hurts. Love heals. Love stays.

Just This Heart – Men of Porth Luck, #2

A wounded soldier. A devoted fisherman. A love lost to memory and yet…

“There’s nothing about you I don’t want.”

Boyhood best friends. Closer than brothers until one night changed everything.
And then it was gone.

Jack doesn’t remember.
Sol can’t forget.

Now they share a life in Porth Luck, holding everything together with silence and sacrifice, while Sol hides heartache and memories in the ocean…and Jack finds it all in his dreams. In charged moments and stolen touches, and the pull his gut he can’t explain.

Those bronze-brown eyes.
That sun-stained skin.
An inexplicable feeling he’s reaching for something they never got to finish.

Give me his mouth over air in my lungs.

Jack’s mind may be broken, but his heart remembers the love it lost. But what if the sea swallows them whole before they get their second chance?

REVIEW:

EPIC PINING! If pining is not your cup of tea, if slow burn is not your jam, if deep poetic romantic longing seeping from the very pores of the MCs colouring everything around them, contextualising it with the object of their affection isn’t  your scene, this book is not for you 😅!

Omg I love the Garrett Leigh writes, painting with words, emotion blooming across the pages. I have loved every single one of her books and if angst is your flavour she provides you with your fill. We get to literally immerse our self on the vivid inner lives, hurt pain love joy family of Jack and Sol. The bestest of friends who are obviously more just havnt realised it

There is a deep feeling of loss and melancholy in the first part of the book, specially where what Jack has lost to TBI is talked about. Garrett Leigh does such immense justice to this rep and it brought tears to my eyes the way this band of brothers tightens around him when he needs it. No shame not transactional just beautifully unconditional

When one night changes or really brings forth things between these two best friends and only one is left holding tangible memories while the other struggles daily with the feeling of something missing, it’s bound to be explosive and emotional and heartbreaking and hot! Garrett Leigh’s writing style and language lends itself beautifully to unravelling this story for us, pulling us in , making us feel everything

I love her rebel kings series and to see cameos from there here ah my favourite River and Rubi it was epic.

Another wonderful story from one of my favourite authors, highly recommend.
