REVIEW:
Wylder tries very hard not to live up to his name. He’s spent his whole life keeping control of the beast inside him so that he can make a better life for his brothers and do what he can to make his city a better place. He’s afraid of what might happen if he loses his control.
That control is what’s driving Neo out of his mind. He can see the passion inside of Wylder and he wants to break that control more than anything.
These books have been so interesting to read. Each one has brought us a new couple who have their own issues to deal with and the authors have done a fantastic job of making them all unique.
Neo is a lot of fun. He’s a complete brat who’s intent on getting what he wants…and that’s Wylder. He thinks he wants Wylder to let loose but maybe he also wants Wylder to use a little bit of that control on him.
Wylder is confused about Neo. He doesn’t understand why he just can’t stop thinking about him.
It’s so much fun to watch these two men work their way toward each other. The twists and turns that they go through kept me absolutely enthralled throughout the whole story. I absolutely had to know how it was going to turn out.
Cora Rose and Lark Taylor are fantastic writers who balance out this story in the most perfect way. They’ve put together a compelling story with characters that are interesting and fun to get to know. There is a plot that keeps you turning every page until it’s done because if you are like me, you just can’t put it down.
It’s great to see the clips of the couples that came before. It’s like visiting old friends and I alway enjoy checking in on their happily ever afters.
The sex is hot and beautiful and works for the characters and the story. At no time did I feel like the story was being taken over by the smoking hot sex. And I do appreciate writers that can make it happen.
Sometimes writing reviews is hard because I just want to say “when I got to this part, it blew me away” and giving things away is a definite no-no. So you will just have to take me at my word when I tell you that this is not something you want to miss.
Of course, this is not a stand-alone story. You have to have read what came before for this story to make sense but that’s ok because you will enjoy every single word of all three stories, especially if morally gray characters who are a little unhinged and can really kick ass are your thing.
I have no problem in saying that this book is a 5 outta 5 for me. Very smart, keeps you thinking and a little kinky. You couldn’t ask for more.
