Jason Gibbons:
As an ace sports reporter, Jason is revving up for his next big story—Ryker Brennan, Supercross star, sexy and solid. He captivates Jason like no one else ever has.
“Despite having told myself not to get worked up, I am. And it pisses me off. Ryker Brennan is under my skin, and nothing good is going to come from that.”
Ryker Brennan:
Motorcycles are his passion. He’s a little sweet and a heck of a lot of wild rolled into a 250 racer who’s always primed for the next big win. Then Jason Gibbons rolls into Ryker’s life, and now his wheels are spinning.
“I fell and got a mouth full of dirt. That’s racing. The bike just got away from me, kind of like Jason did after that kiss. So why was I still thinking about him?”
When life gives them a gnarly track to follow, they have to get dialed in for the next jump. Will they accept the challenge?
REVIEW:
It was a nice read, not shockingly good, it was sweet and nice. I wish I could say I loved it more.
Sports reporter Jason and motorcycle driver Ryker are attracted to each other. Flirting and maybe a promise for more.
Jason will take care of his little cousin while his sister is on a trip. When there’s no more contact Jason is very worried. He’s rightly concerned!
Jason has to put his love life on hold, he wants to take care of his cousin Chase full time. Luckily Chase is crazy about motorcycle races, so Ryker is still in the picture.
Only, raising a child ánd having an energetic, carefree boyfriend around doesn’t go well for Jason, it’s too chaotic and he can’t handle it. Jason has to focus on Chase and Ryker on the 450cc races.
Being together didn’t sit well, being apart worse!
As with most reads, there are some positive and negative things. Overall it was a story with kind, decent, positively fun people, that’s a pro, it ended with a hea, also a pro, it’s sweet and considerate written, all goods things. On the other side, the relationship between Jason and Ryker wasn’t really built, there were loose make-outs nothing solid, and the make-up was downright disappointed.
I expected more attention to the grief, I didn’t feel it here.
Jason and Chase were doing well, and thank goodness, at last, with Ryker too.
Overall a sweet light-hearted story with a nice hea.
The first of a new series, I will keep it at this one.
