Death on Denial by EJ Russell. I love all of her Mythmatched universe books and they deserve to be more widely read.

I’m in the middle of the Heart 2 Heart Anthology. Once again, a fantastic read and all proceeds go to LGBTQ Charities.

I just finished off (today actually) the second volume of Kai Butler’s San Amaro Investigations: The Oak Wood Throne. This book was fantastic and I’m really loving the series so far. It has mysteries, action, Magic, Fae court politics, a romance further developing, and the habit of ending on just a hint of a cliffhanger. While the first book set up the setting and the start of the plot threads, this installment was where MC Parker Ferro really learned to trust in himself. The plot cleared up some fog, and tied up some issues, and brought new questions and goals into the foray and all along Parker just kept learning and growing. Now that I’m thinking about it, and trying to write about it, I can see how messy the many loose ends and tangled plot knots could be, but Butler is just smooth enough their writing and drop just enough hints that it doesn’t feels the least bit messy while traveling through the book. All in all it’s a fascinating world, lot of interesting happenings to keep my attention and good writing holding it together. A five star book for me, just like the first was.

    Beth Bolden’s series ‘Enchanted Folklore.’
This series is totally different from her food truck books.

Romance flows through the story line and the characters become more three dimensional. Trust once again becomes an important part of the series, as does the importance of personal growth and found family.
