REVIEW:
Fun, Fast MPREG Shifter novel.
Reign Bailey is a fabulous dancer and one of the top stars at the Carousal Lounge. But, at least behind his back, he’s referred as the “Ice Prince” by some of the staff. Not the other dancers though. He is respected by them even though they worry about him being so aloof and alone. But Reign can’t let anyone in. When you let them in you open yourself up for hurt and he’s done being hurt. But when his birthday comes around and he calls in to not work everyone worries…especially Sully, the head of security. When Sully shows up at his door and Reign is smashed Sully worries even more about the beautiful dancer that has worked in under his skin. But can Reign finally learn to trust?
I loved Sully! Flat out loved his gentleness and care to do the right thing with Reign. He was a gentleman that didn’t give in to the thoughts that Alpha’s are all it and omegas are just for sex and babies. And poor, dear, sweet Reign. After his life was turned completely upside down on his 18th birthday how he finally managed to trust again was awesome. And what a wonderful world that opened up for him when he finally did!
So, I’ve been reading mpreg and omegaverse novels for awhile now and discovered two new parts in this book. I didn’t realize that different kinds of shifters could be fated mates and breed together. The books I have read in the past had the shifters mate and breed with their own species. They may have been from different packs but all wolves or such. That was a unique and cool switch up here. I just wonder if the baby is a hybrid or takes on one of the two forms. When Caesar sniffed the new baby he said cub so did that mean it took on Sully’s form? I wish the author would have delved into that more. The other was the concealer angle to hide that the dancer was an omega. And the concealer didn’t just hide them and their scent but stopped them from the ability to sense anyone else’s scent. It was a new spin for me but it seemed a bit dangerous for the omega not to be able to use one of their senses.
I enjoyed this first glimpse into this new series and can’t wait for the rest of the dancer’s stories. My only problem (not really a problem) was that it all went by too fast. As usual for me…I wanted more!
