REVIEW:
I picked this story out of the lineup because of the witch and magic aspects. I thought there would be more magic, but hey… it was a short story.
We meet Will after he has monumentally messed up a spell on a batch of cookies for a local youth shelter. Because he was thinking of his infuriating ex-boyfriend while he was casting the spell, he ended up cursing the cookies and anyone who eats them.
Luckily for him, or unluckily as it might be, his roommate, Lucas, ends up eating some of the cookies and the side effects show up quite quickly. They aren’t the side effects Will expects though. Quite the contrary, horrible things begin to happen to Lucas. The two men search out an expert in witchy curses and it appears they might be able to overcome it. But will they get the cure requirements fulfilled before it is too late?
I liked the story. It was short, as expected, but I still would have liked a little more. I think there was a lot more that could have been said. As the story stands, it left me a little unsatisfied.
