Podcasts, Authors, Readers, and Fun

How many of you would like the opportunity to sit down and chat with your favorite author? Listen to them talk about their latest release. Find out what may be in store for one of your favorite character in their books. Learn that they prefer rum to vodka. Well maybe not that, but you never know on this show. Last May, I had the pleasure of being the very first author to join Author Kristine Raymond on her very first podcast titled “Word Play with Kristine Raymond”. The taglines for the podcast state ‘Unscripted Unrehearsed Real Conversations.’ And, boy it sure was!

I’d never done a podcast before, but Ms. Raymond’s dream was so real, I wanted to be a part of it. You can hear that first podcast at this link:

It was an amazing 30 minutes of fun. We laughed. We stumbled. We talked about my latest release. What I had in the planning stages and much more. No formal standard interview questions. All in an atmosphere so relaxed that it truly was a conversation between authors talking about books.
A few days ago “Word Play” celebrated its 100th episode. Many of my favorite authors have chatted with Ms. Raymond since that first one. Also, recently, “Word Play with Kristine Raymond” joined ArtistFirst Radio Network who broadcasts over 600 podcast shows. You can hear the podcasts on channels like iHeartRadio, Spotify, Podbean, Apple and Google Play. Authors who chat with Ms. Raymond are reaching audiences they haven’t reached before.

If you are a reader, definitely check out “Word Play with Kristine Raymond”. You will find a variety of authors there. Some you may know but I’m sure you’ll find many who are new to you. Ms. Raymond chats with authors from all genres. You can also follow Word Play on Facebook. Here is the link to the Word Play website: https://www.wordplaypodcast.com/

If you are an author and you’d like to get on the show, contact Ms. Raymond here: https://www.wordplaypodcast.com/p/sign-up.html

I’d love to see more LGBT authors on her shows. She has an open mind and heart, and loves to talk about all kinds of books. I am scheduled to be on the show in January 2020. So if you are an LGBT author, definitely look into signing up to be on her show. You won’t regret it.

This article was not intended to be a plug for Word Play. I simply wanted to share the amazing experience I had in being a part of the this wonderful production. Also, I wanted to encourage readers and authors alike to check into this wonderful opportunity.

Until Next Month,
CJ
