Bet gave that low rumble of a growl, and it made Tristram’s breath catch in his chest.
Perhaps it would be best if, in the future, Tristram avoided the man altogether. If he struggled to control his reactions when Bet was angry with him, who knew what he would do when the man showed him the slightest bit of—
Bet grabbed one of Tristram’s shoulders and pushed the other, swinging him around to press his back against the wall. He muttered something under his breath about Tris not “sowing his seed,” but it was hard to hear and cut off when warm, dry lips crashed against his.
The man’s whole body was a warm line against him, hands still planted on his shoulders as though he could hold him against the wall. Tris was stronger than any human he’d ever known, but something in the idea of Bet holding him down sent a jolt through his whole body, making his cock strain against his hose. It pressed obscenely into Bet’s own groin, and they both groaned aloud at the pressure.
Bet pulled away, eyes even blacker than usual, and stared at him. “What is it you want, Lord Radcliffe? Perhaps this peasant on his knees for you?”
On . . . his . . . Tris’s eyes went wide with understanding, and his mouth fell open. He’d heard about such things, but—peasant, Bet had said. He thought Tristram was trying to demean him. Could he offer the opposite? To get on his knees for Bennet Kyston?
“Bet!” came the excited cry from halfway down the hall, and Tris let his head fall back, thumping against the wooden support beam. He had to find a way to drag the man into a room somewhere.
