TITLE: Dragon Dilemma
SERIES: Supernatural Consultant #3
AUTHOR: Mell Eight
PUBLISHER: Less Than Three Press
LENGTH: 88 Pages
RELEASE DATE: May 31, 2016
BLURB:
Dane doesn’t get along with his parents. He hasn’t spoken with his mother in years and he’s never met his father. Somehow his mother finds out about Mercury and the kits anyway, and it’s difficult to throw one’s mother out when she happens to be a powerful, dangerous witch.
She isn’t the only uninvited guest either, and these ones are even less likely to take no for an answer—and much more likely to leave everyone dead if they don’t get what they want.
REVIEW:
Once again, Mell Eight delivers a too cute for words tale about Dane and Mercury and their large family of adopted dragon kits.
This third installment of the series veers away slightly from the “Quicksilver” storyline, and instead we are introduced to some other major players in the paranormal community. One of whom is Dane’s super witch mother, who turned up uninvited to meet her son’s new family.
As with any book in this series, our two main characters are under threat although, by whom, is the question. As always, the kits play a huge role in the story, so if books with children aren’t your thing, then this series may not be for you. But come on, dragon children…could there be anything cuter?
I’ve enjoyed all of the books in this series but was especially appreciative that this book stayed focused on the family, rather than spend time on the police work of the second book. Having said that, I loved the second book, but I absolutely can’t get enough of reading about these dragon kits and their very patient fathers interacting with each other and, in this book, with their uninvited guests.
This series should only be read in order. There are a lot of characters to remember, but as most of them are children there’s really no difficulty in keeping them all sorted in your head.
If you have yet to read a book by Mell Eight and you like cute and sweet, then this is the series to begin with. I get so excited every time I see another of these books pop up in the coming soon lists, because sometimes we just need a big dose of happy into our day, and I know that I’m guaranteed to be left with a smile after reading any book in the Supernatural Consultant series.
